VERY CLEAN! Not close to a Starbucks (but Maple Street Biscuit Company makes up for it!). Very small pool. Breakfast until 10am & checkout at 12pm! Overall one of the best more affordable hotels I’ve stayed at in the area.

Sheets were dirty at check in. Housekeeping did come with more. Room had a bad odor. My first and last time staying. I prepaid via Trip website and still had to pay $8.91 when I arrived. Saying they did not show my trip points of $9 being submitted.

The manager was ****** towards me as I am white and she was black. First I was told by customer service online that I could pay the deposit using Apple tap to pay and then the manager refused to accept it. First it was one roadblock the manager presented and then it was another one. She clearly did not want to rent a room to me and I believe it was racially motivated. If you are white do not go to this hotel.

The room was very clean, and the hotel had a great Christmas atmosphere. The breakfast was also plentiful. However, perhaps because the hotel is quite old, many of the room's amenities were rusty and might need renovation for a better stay.

After reading other reviews, I want to write this. My family drove to the East Coast. This is an upper-middle level hotel in the United States. The room is good. You can't pursue perfection for a hotel near the highway. For example, there are some rust on the lamp stand. Clean bedding and a decent breakfast are enough. So it is relatively comfortable to stay overnight. Overall, Hampton is still reliable. And although it is close to the highway, there is no side facing the highway. It is relatively quiet. I didn't hear any noise. The surrounding environment is also good. It feels safe and not chaotic. The price is also lower than nearby, which is a very high cost performance.
