Gloucester Hotel Hamdeok

The room directly faced the ocean, and I could see the beautiful 'jellyfish sea' right from my bed – it was stunning! Breakfast was also delicious, and the stay was very comfortable overall. The only minor issue was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy, which might bother light sleepers.

The hotel breakfast wasn't good, so I'd recommend booking without it. Hamdeok Beach is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel entrance, and there's a great rooftop hot spring. The cafe by the entrance is lovely, and there's a convenience store and restaurants downstairs – everything you need. It's a really nice place.

Location: Superb!!! Right by Hamdeok Beach, you just walk downstairs to the sand. Plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. The ocean view room was very pleasing to the eye. Room Facilities: Average. The room was quite small, cleanliness was also just okay, and the facilities were a bit old-fashioned. Service Attitude: Good. Check-in at the front desk was smooth, and the cleaning staff would proactively greet us. Transportation: Taxis are quite convenient, they pick up quickly. However, if you're with a tour group or chartered car, since it's on the east side and not in the city center, there's an extra charge, which can be quite expensive.

The room's location was fantastic, right across from Hamdeok Beach, just a two-step walk away. It was so convenient to pop back to the hotel to shower and change. However, the room was a bit small – I mean, so small it was hard to even open my suitcase flat!

Very close to Hamdeok Beach, and the ocean view room offers a fantastic view. We booked one large and one small double-bed ocean view room for our family of three. The room wasn't huge, but we could push the beds together, which worked out great. The breakfast selection was also quite rich.

The room was a bit small, but other than that, everything else was quite satisfying. The sea view from the room was amazing. I regret not moving to this hotel sooner; the previous one I stayed at for 3 days was terrible and not cheap either. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

Super convenient! Everything you could want – food, drinks, and entertainment – is all within walking distance downstairs. Great food, great drinks, and great shopping! It's a 30-minute taxi ride from the city center, 40 minutes by taxi to Seongsan Ilchulbong, and 40 minutes to Batti Ranch. There's a bus stop just a five-minute walk away that can take you to Udo Island ferry terminal. Plus, there's an Olive Young nearby. Downstairs, you're surrounded by amazing restaurants. Hamdeok Beach is right across the street. The hotel even has a washing machine and dryer. And there's a convenience store right downstairs! So good!

Right downstairs is Hamdeok Beach. Even though the room isn't big, the view is absolutely unbeatable. On a clear day, the ocean view at Hamdeok is simply amazing! You can rinse your feet downstairs at the hotel or next door at Ebenezer. Late check-out is available until 1 PM for a fee of 20,000 Korean Won per hour.
