The hotel's location is excellent, perfect for a stroll anytime. The staff are very friendly and the service is attentive! For breakfast, they offer two main noodle dishes, 'Guoqiao Mixian' (Crossing the Bridge Noodles) and 'Xiao Guo Mixian' (Small Pot Noodles), along with a selection of self-service items and drinks. This is quite a rich breakfast offering for a guesthouse! However, the large windows in the two ground-floor rooms face directly onto the hotel's public dining area, which is a bit awkward as you'd need to keep the curtains drawn all day. I'd recommend booking a room on the second floor.

The service was excellent and the environment was great. I originally booked for one day, but I didn't hesitate to extend my stay for another day!

This was the most satisfying accommodation of our entire trip. It's an old house converted into a hotel in Shaxi Ancient Town, and the materials used are of very high quality. First, the facilities and selections are top-notch; from the bedding (there were four pillow options!) to the bathroom brands and underfloor heating, everything from the hardware to the soft furnishings was impeccable! Second, the cleanliness: the hotel was spotless, and attention to detail was exceptional. The small garden had a Japanese aesthetic, and breakfast also featured the characteristic delicate and refined style of Japanese service. The service was attentive and warm, from the butler service to luggage assistance – everything was very thoughtful! What touched me most was the lip balm provided for ladies, which was a lifesaver for my chapped lips! The afternoon tea was unique; I chose the Chinese tea, enjoying ancient tree Puerh in a professional tea room, savoring the aroma, chatting, and watching time slowly slip by – an entire afternoon passed in no time. Shaxi is a wonderful place, and the Kegongdi is definitely worth revisiting!

Traveling during the off-season, the hotel kindly upgraded our room to a larger, more comfortable one. It truly deserves its reputation as the best guesthouse in the ancient town; the environment, facilities, and hygiene are all impeccable.

Conveniently located in a beautifully restored building. The service was very attentive and genuine. Do try the in-house teahouse upstairs from their cafe. It’s got a great balcony to sit and watch the world go by.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the ancient town, making it super convenient to get everywhere. The breakfast was plentiful, and they even offered a complimentary 'Jiama' experience, which was really fun. If you're going to Shaxi, I definitely recommend this hotel; I heard it's the most upscale one there! All the amenities and facilities inside are top-notch.

The hotel is impressive for Shaxi town, and tastefully designed. There is so much attention to detail that is amazing. The hotel staff are very attentive and accommodating. From the heated floors to the bathtub accessories, the stay is super comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Undoubtedly the best B&B in Shaxi! The entire hotel is full of humanistic care, very friendly and thoughtful, and boasts the best cafe in town. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of town, making it convenient to go anywhere. From pickup to breakfast, afternoon tea, and even evening desserts, every single detail is meticulously thought out and excellent value for money! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Shaxi!

Kogongdi Shaxi was truly a standout stay! Everything in the hotel just thoughtful and beautifully done in every detail. We felt so well taken care and spoiled by their service and amenities. The breakfast spread not just beautiful but also super delicious! The hotel is strategically located within the Shaxi ancient town, peaceful and calm, that makes you instantly slow down. If you’re browsing around for where to stay in Shaxi, honestly, you can stop looking, this place will exceed what you expect in the best possible way and it is the kind of place you start missing the moment you leave.

I was apprehensive about this hotel because the taxi couldn’t go all the way to the door step as it is within the Shaxi Old Town. But I was also filled with high expectation because the rooms were pretty expensive. The 2 young men who came to transport our luggage in a small cart work very swiftly & we were given a free upgrade because we extended another night. The architecture of the hotel was interesting and the landscaping of the pond made the whole hotel homely. The staff were mostly young men and they were exceptionally attentive to us. Their service was top notch. They helped us settle our big load of laundry in the self service dryer into the early morning because they knew we would have missed our sleep if we had to watch over our laundry. Food: The cross bridge Mee Xian breakfast was delicious. Must come to Shaxi Old Town if you come to Dali. Must stay in this hotel!

I booked a twin room. The hotel and room aren't huge, but all the hardware and software services are excellent. They even thoughtfully prepared a woven bag that I took out for a walk. The hotel's location and environment are great, very comfortable, highly recommended.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic! The location is superb, very close to the Ancient Opera Stage and Yujin Bridge. The service staff, especially a young man, was incredibly warm and attentive. I casually mentioned wanting to buy a birthday cake, and to my surprise, when I returned to my room after sightseeing the next day, there was one waiting for me! I was so touched. Next time I visit Shaxi, I'll definitely choose Ke Gong Di again!
