Grand Barony Qingdao Airport Hotel

Great facilities, perfect for early morning flights. Aileen provided excellent and thoughtful service, helping us with any issues. The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was cozy, and the soundproofing was very good.

The hotel environment is tidy, and the room layout is perfect, elegant yet stylish, with a minimalist decor. The overall service staff quality is also very high, and Madelin at the guest service center provided thoughtful service, making us feel incredibly comfortable. The hotel has its own parking lot, which is very convenient.

The hotel is nowhere near as luxurious as the pictures suggest. It looks quite old in person, even for a relatively new hotel. It has a very dated feel. All of the deluxe king rooms are located near the runway, and the sound of planes taking off is incredibly loud. There's no way you'd get any sleep at night. I eventually asked the front desk to change my room to a twin room on the terminal side, which was much quieter. The layout and size of the twin room were quite suitable. Although the hotel has a dedicated tunnel connecting directly to the airport, it's a very long walk, about 10-15 minutes. Personally, I don't think the deluxe king room is worth over 400 yuan at all. The room felt cramped and old, and the bedding had a smell, possibly of disinfectant.

Close to the airport runway, the view is fantastic. You can push your luggage trolley directly from the airport (I recommend taking the elevator in the transportation hub). If you're bothered by the bird scarer's noise, you can choose a room on the side further from the runway. Some rooms have a strong drain smell in the bathroom. I suggest the hotel improve its inspections to include odor checks and equipment maintenance.

The hotel environment was decent, and I chose it specifically for its airport location, which made it convenient for my flight the next day. It is indeed right by the runway. When checking in, I asked the front desk to switch me to a king-size bed room. They did mention there would be bird-scaring noises, but my experience at other airports is usually an occasional firecracker sound. At Qingdao Airport, however, it was a continuous loop of sirens and eagle cries. Even with the soundproofing in the room, I could still hear it. If you're sensitive to noise, avoid rooms facing the runway, but it wasn't a huge deal for me. The only thing I found unacceptable was opening a drawer in the room to get a cup and finding it full of empty bottles. That was instantly off-putting. Moreover, when I mentioned it to the front desk upon check-out the next day, I didn't receive any feedback. The hotel management definitely has significant issues.

The room offers a wide window with a beautiful view. The bathroom is clean, well-equipped, and convenient to use. The guest service center staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The environment is comfortable, the facilities are complete, and it's conveniently located near the airport. The service is exceptionally personalized, making it a hotel worth booking. They even offer late check-out for travelers with layovers, which is a very thoughtful touch.

First time staying at the Grand Dynasty Hotel at Qingdao Airport. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the airport terminal. The views are beautiful, and the environment is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Jenny at the guest services center provided excellent service, making for a great overall experience. The room was spacious and clean, with good soundproofing, stable Wi-Fi, and complete facilities. The hotel offers direct access to the high-speed rail and terminal via a comprehensive transportation hub, making travel very convenient. The room size was quite generous.
