"The hotel asked flight time 3-4 times, i said "21:30" (both morning staff and night staff on Wechat asked same question but no proper action) and said "even there is no other customer, we will pick you up at airport on time" so this means they will go to pick me up at "21:30" but during 21:30-22:30 (waiting 1 hour because theu said "soon") I asked pick up time update, night staff only said " soon driver will go there" so I was hurry going out to wait outside near parking being cold and hungry. Night staffs are too young and lack of experience. Bad communication letting customer wait 1 hour outside, instead of saying " around 22.15 -22.30 as they know driver will drive to airport only 15 minutes.....) if they could say estimate time, so i may spend 1 hour eating some food in restaurant nearby."

"This airport hotel is an absolute gem! It's only five minutes from the airport and offers 24-hour shuttle service, which is perfect for early morning flights when I can't wake up easily. The red staircase in the lobby is a great photo op! There are also plenty of dining options nearby, and ordering takeout is super convenient—a robot even delivers it right to your room. The room itself was clean and tidy, just fantastic. Qingdao is lovely, I'll definitely be back!"

Grand Barony Qingdao Airport Hotel
"The hotel facilities and location are quite good; it's very close to the airport, with a connecting corridor to walk over. The cleanliness is excellent, and they offer an airport pick-up service, with a driver who was friendly and polite. My only real dissatisfaction was with the front desk. On the first night during check-in, with two adults and two young children (3 years old & 6 months), the staff member looked unhappy, didn't greet us, and immediately asked if we had booked two rooms. I even said hello and explained I had booked a family suite. After check-out, they kept sending messages daily, for several days, asking for a good review, even pre-writing it for me and asking for a screenshot as proof. This forced request for a good review was really off-putting. Originally, I was very satisfied with the hotel's hardware, cleanliness, and the driver, and intended to give a five-star review, but this, combined with the sour-faced check-in, really diminished my good impression by half. Also, regarding the pick-up service, more attention to detail would be appreciated. After discussing my flight number via WeChat, and knowing I was arriving internationally, they directed me to the domestic arrivals. This meant walking from one end of the airport to the other. The whole point of getting a pick-up was because we had a lot of luggage and two kids; if I had to walk that far, I might as well have walked to the hotel myself."

"I initially booked a two-night stay through Marriott Bonvoy, and I was so impressed with the hotel's excellent service that I specifically booked an additional night through Trip.com to leave this review. The front desk check-in was very quick, and room service was incredibly prompt. The view from the 21st floor is expansive, which nicely compensates for the lack of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Breakfast was delicious, and importantly, the coffee was quite good. You can even take a disposable cup of coffee back up to your room, which is a huge plus for someone who needs coffee by their side at all times! I want to particularly highlight the Executive Lounge. While the food selection wasn't extensive and the taste was average, the key thing is that it wasn't pre-packaged food. The two female service staff in the lounge, Rosa Gong and Lena, were charming, spoke softly, and were very friendly. Crucially, when I needed something printed, they were enthusiastic and patiently helped me, ensuring everything was correct. Furthermore, the lounge offers a fantastic view, which is especially atmospheric with a glass of red wine in the evening! All the hotel staff were friendly and pleasant, greeting me when we met, without being overly zealous. It was a comfortable experience. I will definitely be returning."

"The surroundings are very lively, and it's very close to Baolong Plaza. A walk to Sanli River Park offers a beautiful night view. Tina was professional, friendly, and enthusiastic during check-in. The room was spotlessly clean. The soundproofing was good, the bedding was comfortable, and all the towels were fluffy and white. The in-room amenities were well-maintained, and the toiletries were high-end, making for a very pleasant shower. Room key grants access to the gym and pool. The pool water temperature was just right, and the water quality was clean; everything you need for swimming and fitness. I will definitely be back."
