Its New Chinese-style decor is very tasteful and perfectly complements the atmosphere of Xitang Ancient Town. The hotel features numerous relaxing courtyards, and there's even a separate small courtyard dedicated to suites. Rooms are well-appointed, featuring private en-suite bathrooms and thoughtfully designed vanity areas. Tea sets are provided in the guest rooms, perfect for tea lovers to take their time brewing their own tea. Balconies are furnished with tables and chairs, making them an ideal spot to relax, read, and enjoy a cup of tea on cooler days. There's also a gym, which, though a bit small, is sufficient for a quick workout. The breakfast restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere, though I didn't have a chance to try their breakfast. As a resort-style hotel, it doesn't offer lunch or dinner, but there are plenty of convenient dining options to choose from both inside and outside the scenic area. Overall, my experience was quite good, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to slow down, unwind, and relax.

This allowed us to fully enjoy Xitang's nocturnal charm and capture beautiful photos in Hanfu during the day. 2. **Ambiance:** The hotel is quiet, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. I particularly appreciated the well-designed bathroom with its wet/dry separation. The mattress and duvet were exceptionally comfortable – my mother slept like a baby! 3. **Service:** The staff contacted us beforehand to inquire about our room preferences. They even provided welcome fruit and bedtime milk! Their warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. 4. **Breakfast:** The breakfast spread was incredibly generous. I highly recommend the freshly made rice noodles and wontons, along with the pastries, fresh fruit, and various local specialties. A true feast for the taste buds! Over the years, whether for business trips or family vacations, I've stayed in countless hotels across many cities in China. This is hands down the *only* one I would enthusiastically recommend to all my friends. Xitang is definitely worth a visit, and the Wanda Meihua Hotel is an absolute must-stay! Perhaps next time, when assigning rooms, it would be better not to boast about arranging a 'very quiet room' right from the start... On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently close to the scenic area entrance, and buying tickets through them was cost-effective. The breakfast was quite plentiful, the mini wontons were delicious, and the complimentary mung bean soup in the evening was also a nice touch.

This was my first time staying at Wanda Meihua Xitang, and I opted for the courtyard king room. The room itself was very stylish and incredibly comfortable, and the private balcony was also quite spacious. I'm so glad we switched from a guesthouse within the scenic area to the Wanda Meihua Hotel on the day of our trip. It was hands down my favorite hotel during our entire Jiangnan trip, and the only one I felt compelled to review. We were extremely pleased with everything – the ambiance, the comfortable bedding, and especially the breakfast. Its location is fantastic, being super close to one of Xitang's ticket entrances. Plus, there's ample parking, making it perfect for road trippers. We spent the day exploring Xitang with our child. Despite the heat, it wasn't too crowded, and the scenery was beautiful. After 5 PM, the scenic area becomes free, but the sheer volume of people meant we were practically shoulder-to-shoulder. It completely took away from the enjoyment of the sights, and all we wanted to do was get back to the peace of the hotel.

Since it was a weekday, the friendly front desk staff kindly informed us that entry to the scenic area is free after 5 PM. Regarding the environment and facilities, there's a lovely lush green paddy field right next to the hotel, which was very pleasant to look at during our stay. However, the hotel's location is a bit secluded, so at night, I'd suggest taking a taxi or sticking to the main, well-lit paths within the ancient town. The room boasted screen mirroring, and I excitedly thought it meant a high-end projector, so I even brought my Switch and an HDMI cable! Turns out, it was just a TV-to-phone casting feature – a funny mix-up on my part, haha. The air conditioning in the room was perfect, making us want to just stay in and relax. Both the cleanliness and service were satisfactory. We arrived during the afternoon check-in rush, so there was a short wait, and with it being summer, there were quite a few noisy children. However, I believe they specifically assigned us a quiet room away from the commotion, which I really appreciated. Welcome fruits and mung bean soup are delivered to rooms after 5 PM, and after a day of exploring the ancient town, a bowl of the mung bean soup was incredibly refreshing and helped beat the heat. Lastly, I didn't take any pictures of the hotel's interior. Breakfast was quite standard, and the coffee was very ordinary, limited to just hot lattes and hot Americanos. The restaurant staff were all short-haired ladies; one cooked noodles, and another cleared tables. Being face-blind, I actually thought they were the same person! Given the mediocre coffee, we decided to order some takeout, and it was a pleasant surprise to have it delivered by a robot – pretty neat!

It's incredibly convenient: if you get tired from exploring the town in the morning, you can easily pop back to the hotel for a rest before continuing your tour in the afternoon. (The scenic area ticket allows re-entry for two days, which is ample time to explore the entire ancient town.) 2/ The hotel's design beautifully embodies the classic Jiangnan garden style; walking through it truly feels like being in a traditional Jiangnan courtyard, with its elegant grey bricks, black tiles, white walls, and lush foliage. The rooms are simple yet full of ancient charm, with extensive use of wood, bamboo, and natural fibers. The low-saturation color scheme, combined with white walls and dark tiles, creates a very sophisticated ambiance. Nestled right by the river, it offers a tranquil 'waterfront living' experience. I was especially grateful for the room upgrade! Sitting on the terrace, with sunlight dappling through the leaves, brewing a pot of oolong tea, quietly watching the flowing water and listening to the birdsong – it offered a unique sense of refined pleasure. 3/ The hotel's facilities are quite comprehensive; whether you need laundry services or a gym, they cater to various needs. The hotel is very new, and the young, energetic staff members are just as vibrant as the hotel itself. They are always happy to answer any questions you have in detail. 4/ The hotel's breakfast quality is excellent, with a wide variety of options. I especially recommend the small wontons. The evening sweet soup and fruits were also delicious. But I *have* to give a special shout-out to the hotel's mung bean soup – it's absolutely fantastic and could easily be their signature item! After a long day of exploring, a bowl of it just made all my fatigue melt away. 5/ The scenic area itself can get quite crowded and noisy. The more I explored, the more I appreciated my wise decision to stay here. Instead of being amidst the hustle and bustle within the town, this hotel allowed me to truly immerse myself in the quiet, ethereal beauty of Jiangnan. This is a truly thoughtful hotel, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the ancient town.
