Nanhu Hotel

This hotel is right next to Nanhu Lake, offering absolutely stunning views. It was March in Jiangnan, so the peach blossoms were vibrant, the willows were lush, and a gentle spring breeze was blowing – the kids had a wonderful time. There's a private entrance from the hotel directly to Nanhu Lake; you just use your room key to get in and out, which is super convenient. You can also visit Wuxiang Temple for free, and from the pagoda, you get panoramic views of Jiaxing city and Nanhu Lake. The hotel breakfast was good, and the green rice dumplings were quite tasty.

The environment here is truly exceptional. It's right by the South Lake scenic area, and you can simply swipe your card to enter, which is incredibly convenient. The lake-view rooms offer a direct view of the island in the middle of the lake. They have a pool and a gym available. The breakfast selection is decent, and the lamb noodles are a specialty. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Jiaxing.

The hotel parking is convenient, with a dedicated underground car park! Overall, the stay was very comfortable, and the hotel views were also fantastic! The service was excellent, breakfast was plentiful, and afternoon tea was good too, but the children's activities were a bit lacking. It's right next to Nanhu Lake, with a small gate directly leading to the Nanhu walking path. A stroll around the lake is very pleasant! It would be even better if the small gate was more clearly marked! Ordering takeout is very convenient!

A great place for a weekend getaway! The service was excellent; they even helped us with our luggage to the room. A special thanks to Xiao Dong for their service. We were upgraded to a lake-view room, and the balcony offered a stunning view with quaint bridges and the lake. After settling in, we walked along Nanhu Lake to Nanhu Tiandi for dinner and stumbled upon a bread festival, which was a lovely surprise and we got some great finds. Back at the hotel, we found that turndown service had been provided. The next morning, after breakfast, we headed to Haogu Pagoda. I actually wanted to go there on the first afternoon, but we couldn't find the small back entrance, and neither could several other groups who came looking later. We eventually realized it was blocked by illegally parked cars. I hope the hotel can put up a sign there to explain this. After descending the pagoda, we took another stroll around the hotel grounds to enjoy the garden scenery before leaving. We skipped Yuehe and Zicheng, which were mentioned online, as we had to head back in the afternoon, and having been to Xitang, I didn't feel the need to visit another water town; once a year is enough for me. I actually prefer places like Nanhu Tiandi. Of course, for those with more time, it's worth exploring all these places.

I've stayed at this hotel three times, and it truly is a landmark in Jiaxing. This time, there were only two minor issues that I wasn't entirely satisfied with. First, the air quality in the room. Even with an air purifier, you can't keep it on all the time because the noise affects your sleep quality. I would often cough in the middle of the night. Second, cars for wedding banquets held at the hotel were parked right at the entrance, blocking the way. Guests trying to get a taxi had to walk further inside, and then they'd constantly get honked at by other vehicles.

I booked two rooms, both on different platforms, and they upgraded both to courtyard superior rooms, with one even upgraded to a suite. The service here is top-notch for its category; every staff member greets you with a smile. The facilities are well-maintained, including smart toilets, capsule coffee machines, and very clean bedding. The fridge wasn't very cold, and the suite balcony didn't have a table and chairs. Even though it was crowded on the weekend, there was someone to seat us for breakfast, and tables were cleared quickly. The breakfast was decent; they had a special lamb noodle dish that I didn't try, but everything else was standard fare, no complaints. Compared to other hotels of a similar caliber I've stayed at recently in Hangzhou, Nanhu Hotel offers excellent value for money and a great overall experience. Stepping out the back door, you're greeted with a beautiful lake view, which in March, felt a bit like West Lake. My parents were particularly pleased. We'll definitely be back to stay again.

Every step here is a scenic view; this hotel built right on South Lake is truly beautiful. Nanhu Hotel perfectly blends classical Jiangnan gardens with modern aesthetics. The rooms are situated all around the lake, so you can enjoy the misty South Lake scenery just by opening your window. The service was incredibly attentive; they upgraded us since we were traveling with a child. We'll definitely stay at Nanhu Hotel again next time we visit Jiaxing.

Extremely satisfied! Parking is convenient, with both ground-level and underground parking available. The scenery is beautiful, and there are two small gates where you can use your room key card to access the Nanhu Scenic Area. The service attitude is excellent; all the staff are very enthusiastic. The facilities are also very comprehensive. The room temperature is set to a default of 23 degrees Celsius, and the shower water temperature defaults to 37 degrees Celsius, saving guests the hassle of adjusting them repeatedly. It's very thoughtful. (A small suggestion: The handles for adjusting the overhead shower and handheld shower are a bit hard to turn, especially when your hands are full of shower gel…) The buffet breakfast has a great variety and quality, including special lamb noodles and mini zongzi. Highly recommend!
