Jiayuguan The Pride Inn

We were traveling from Dunhuang to Zhangye and decided to stop overnight in Jiayuguan because of the long journey. This is a guesthouse with a nice courtyard, but the rooms are just average. I woke up at 4:30 AM with mosquito bites. Our room didn't have tissues, so we had to use our own. Breakfast was quite simple: a bowl of millet porridge and two small, unappetizing flower rolls, a tiny bit of pickles, and an egg. We were already hungry again halfway to Zhangye! 😂

The room was very clean and tidy. The owner was very helpful and provided pick-up and drop-off service. The environment was also very good, and breakfast was included. The location was easy to find.

This guesthouse is fantastic! I was immediately impressed by its strong Chinese ambiance the moment I stepped in. The owner is very kind and welcoming, even helping us with our luggage. The room felt clean and tidy right away; they had already opened the windows for ventilation, so there was no smoke smell at all. The price is budget-friendly, making it a great first choice for accommodation. I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend it!

On our first day in Jiayuguan, we stayed at a cozy and peaceful courtyard. Although it was a bit far from the fortress (perfectly accessible by car), the owner was incredibly accommodating, providing round-trip transportation from the fortress to Fantawild Adventure – very thoughtful indeed. The second day's breakfast was homemade (most hotels in this price range don't offer breakfast), clean and hygienic, making sightseeing much easier. The only regret was that our itinerary included early mornings and late nights, preventing us from sitting down to properly pet the cats, enjoy the rain, and play with the parrots. In short, staying at this courtyard made us feel right at home.

The owner was very welcoming, and the place was clean and tidy. I would choose it again next time.
