Firstly, the good parts. The beds were clean and comfortable and the room itself was fine, clean and provided amenities were okay. We had a good night sleep which was important. Now the bad. The reception staff were surprised to see us arrive to check in although we had paid for a confirmed booking. We prepaid for breakfasts and were told they do not serve breakfast so I paid more than I should have, so lost money there. Then we were unashamedly told that the lifts were not working and we had to carry our luggage up many flights of stairs. Tough luck they appeared to say. The room itself, although recently renovated, was very poorly constructed. We had live wires coming out of cut outs in the wall, unprotected, and the wall tiles and wall paper were out of alignment and coming off. The bathroom was dirty and appeared to show water damage. The shower head was broken and the air conditioning was blowing construction dust so we couldn't use it and slept in the cold winter night. When we checked out, the reception staff was also surprised to see us there and we felt as if we were interrupting their personal time in the morning. It was only a stop over for 1 night for us so we put up with all this without complaining but I think there are better hotels around here near the high speed railway station. I cannot recommend this hotel.
