The Grand Tower Hotel

Pleasantly surprised! This hotel offers incredible value for money. It's located on a higher floor, so it's really quiet. The staff were super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for local food and tourist spots. We'll definitely be back!

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, with many dining options nearby. It occupies the 9th to 13th floors of a high-rise building. However, the facilities are quite old and the rooms aren't very bright.

The environment was very clean and hygienic. While the room wasn't particularly spacious, its layout was very efficient. The soft bedding ensured a very comfortable sleep, the air conditioning cooled the room quickly, and the Wi-Fi signal was consistently stable. The only minor drawback was some noise from the street-facing room, though this improved significantly once the windows were closed. The front desk staff, especially a young lady, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out processes were swift. She even proactively recommended some fantastic local restaurants nearby. Room service was also prompt and responsive.

Facilities: The room was exceptionally spacious, and the amenities provided were comprehensive. It definitely has an upscale feel; it must have been quite luxurious when it first opened! Cleanliness: Cleanliness was acceptable. This hotel is admittedly a bit dated, and personally, I'm not a big fan of carpets, especially when they look like they've been there for many years. Carpets like these must be difficult to keep thoroughly clean. The bathroom/shower was also a bit disappointing; the shower head was quite high, and during a shower, the entire bathroom floor would get soaked! Ambiance: The overall ambiance was just okay. There was a noticeable stale smell when opening the door, which might be due to the sealed windows. I'd suggest the hotel consider placing some air fresheners or deodorizers in the rooms. Service: The service was good. Whenever we contacted the front desk, they were always quick to address any issues. Overall: Ultimately, it's just a place to sleep, and for an average person, choosing this hotel is still a decent option, especially given how truly spacious the rooms are. Plus, for its location, the price is very affordable. A cool bonus: the "Quancheng Eye" observation wheel is right on the hotel's rooftop!
