FUNGEE X Hotel (Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue, Jingdezhen)

I found this hotel at the last minute in the evening, and it turned out to be unexpectedly perfect. The service was excellent throughout, the room was spacious and the environment was great. My child had a blast. The attention to detail was superb, and the evening porridge and cocktails were unique. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Jingdezhen, especially since it was even cheaper than the homestay we stayed at nearby the night before.

The hotel as a whole is small but exquisite. For Jingdezhen, where guesthouses vary wildly in quality and management is chaotic, if you're traveling with kids, it's best to choose a proper hotel. Don't be fooled by the网红 (influencer-style) photos of guesthouses, especially since this hotel wasn't even as expensive as the guesthouse I booked. The front desk service here is excellent, thoughtful and attentive 👍. The bedding is also very clean; my child, who has rhinitis and dust mite allergies, didn't experience any discomfort. The most pleasant surprise was that the hotel can even provide foot-soaking basins and other disposable items, which are delivered to the room after scanning a QR code. The only suggestion I have is regarding breakfast management. Because I decided to add breakfast last minute, the auntie cooking noodles in the restaurant kept hounding me for a breakfast voucher. I didn't understand at first. I gave her my room number, and she said it wasn't allowed and I had to go to the front desk to get a voucher. I already had a plate and food in my hands, so I had to find a place to put them down before going to the front desk to buy the breakfast voucher... I've never encountered this at other hotels, and it was quite embarrassing. Usually, hotels just require you to swipe your room card or give your room number, and the restaurant staff record it, then you settle up at checkout. I've been busy painting plates these past few days and didn't take any photos, but overall, if you're traveling alone with children, I highly recommend this hotel.

The room had good natural light and ventilation, and the air conditioning worked well. It was also very quiet at night, so I wasn't disturbed by any noise. All the toiletries were provided, and the hot water supply was stable. Overall, it offered great value for money. I had a comfortable stay and would highly recommend it to everyone.

The location is not super close to Taoxichuan, but not too far either. You can walk to all the popular internet-famous restaurants, and even if you can't catch a taxi back from Taoyangli, you can take a bus. The hotel is relatively new, and everything is well-maintained. I really liked the courtyard layout; it was quite comfortable to relax there in the evening. The room amenities are very thoughtful. You can order items via a mini-program, and a robot delivers them. They even provide eye masks, nail clippers, and facial cleanser, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was also excellent. The butler called in advance to confirm my stay, and I could add them on WeChat. Any questions I had were answered very promptly. The only minor drawback was the limited breakfast selection, but at only 15 RMB for children, it's quite a bargain.

Especially the noodles at breakfast – they really captured the authentic taste of Jiangxi rice noodles. The soup base was clearly made from scratch with pork bones, showing real dedication. My daughter ate three bowls in one sitting! 🤣🤣 On a side note, the rice noodles are originally plain, so remember to season them yourself. We will definitely stay at your hotel again when we return to Jingdezhen. Thank you once more!

The rooms are spacious and not cramped, clean and odorless. Both rooms we booked were arranged together. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the service attitude is excellent.
