Xishuangbanna Peacock Valley Hot Spring VILLA Resort

The room facilities were complete, and the courtyard was beautiful. However, I didn't sleep well because of the crickets chirping all night. Being close to the airport, it was also quite noisy. The hotel's peacocks were lovely, and the scenery was pleasant. The hot springs were also a great experience. A massage parlor is already under renovation, so it will be even better with massages in the future.

Xiao Wu and Xiao Li provided excellent service. They even drew a hot spring bath for me and delivered my takeaway food past 10 PM. Although breakfast was supposed to end at 9:30 AM, I was still able to get some at 10 AM the next day.

The weather was good and the service tried its best, but unfortunately, the room facilities were basic and the hygiene was just average. There were a lot of mosquitoes and ants inside. Frequent flights overhead at night, combined with poor soundproofing, severely affected our rest. The hot springs were nice, and the park scenery was good. It's suitable for a pure hot spring trip, but not particularly ideal for a short stay.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent. However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.

Coming to Xishuangbanna in December was perfect weather-wise. On the last day of my trip, before flying back north, I decided to spend a day at the hot springs. I chose the Ganlu room, which has pure hydrogen sulfide hot springs – definitely a sulfuric smell, but after soaking, my skin felt incredibly smooth, and I slept like a baby. Besides the private bath, there are also three small public hot spring pools and one large one. The butler mentioned that this area was originally a hot spring site. In the Peacock Valley courtyard, there are about 5-6 peacocks and a little calico cat. Breakfast is complimentary, and the environment is very comfortable. The only downside is that the road to the village is quite remote; I thought I had taken a wrong turn at one point.

Free airport/high-speed rail pickup "once" (requires booking with the hotel one day in advance). Hygiene: Overall good sanitary environment. Environment: The ambiance is great, featuring natural tropical plant scenery along with some thoughtfully designed photo spots that offer stunning light and shadow effects at night. Service: All staff are warm and friendly; however, the breakfast selection was a bit lacking, and the rice noodles were just average. Hope they can improve the taste, haha.
