Four Points by Sheraton Xishuangbanna

This was the first hotel I stayed at in Jinghong, and I felt more at ease with a chain hotel. The breakfast was plentiful. Jinghong was very busy right before Chinese New Year, and there was traffic everywhere. The hotel had convenient parking.

Negative review. First, about the room. We got an upgrade, which was nice! However, the wet and dry areas in the bathroom weren't properly separated, and the partition leaked. After a shower, the area around the toilet was always flooded, so we had to lay down bath towels every day. The door stopper was broken, so the door would bang loudly when opened. We stayed for 3 nights. On the first day, I had to call to ask for bath towels, hand towels, and toothbrushes. On the second day, I needed shampoo, and on the third, I had to ask for body wash again. Now, let's talk about the food. The breakfast was speechless. The juice was watered down. For a hotel in a tropical region at this price point, watering down juice... I asked the staff on duty if there was any juice that wasn't watered down, and they said no, all of it was. Most of the dishes were spicy. The only non-spicy options were bread, rice noodles, and a plain stir-fried bok choy that appeared for three consecutive days. I raised my concerns with Trip.com, and they said the manager would contact me. I'd completely forgotten about it, and no one reached out. In the afternoon, Trip.com called me again to check on the situation, and only then did I remember that the hotel hadn't called me. It seems Trip.com contacted the hotel again, because the hotel then called me. Their tone was incredibly** (implied: poor/rude), saying, 'Where is everything spicy? The juice is concentrated, not watered down... If it's really an issue, we can waive breakfast for one child for the remaining two days!' I immediately gave up on continuing the conversation and hung up. It felt like I was just making a fuss for the sake of that 78 yuan breakfast. Trip.com's service was excellent as always. Thumbs up and thank you. The service at this hotel was terrible. The restaurant staff were expressionless and didn't even wash their hair. On my first day at breakfast, they were clearing tables, just a quick wipe... No disinfectant spray, and they didn't change the placemats... On the second day, I asked if I could get a takeout box because my child hadn't eaten much, and I wanted to take two small pieces of bread. They refused, saying you can't pack food after eating breakfast... Fine... I'll just mention these things briefly... Today, we switched to the Crowne Plaza Yun Tou, which is part of the same group, but it's a world of difference... A crushing comparison.

The moment we got out of the car, a staff member at the entrance immediately came to help us with our luggage. The booking we made online included welcome fruits, tickets to the Flower Garden, and airport pickup, all of which we utilized and had a fantastic experience! Whenever we had a request, the front desk staff were quick to assist and resolve issues. The hotel is quite new, and all the facilities are in pristine condition with no signs of age. Its location is excellent; it's about a ten to fifteen-minute drive to various attractions in the city, and parking downstairs is very convenient. There are also many options for food delivery, and a robot even delivers orders to your room door by taking the elevator itself. We were also very satisfied with the breakfast buffet, which offered both Chinese and Western options, including freshly made rice noodles, making it quite extensive. In the evening, we took the kids downstairs to join the bonfire party, and they had a great time dancing along. For the price, this hotel completely exceeded our expectations. We will definitely choose to stay here again the next time we visit Xishuangbanna.

Fantastic hotel experience! The location is super convenient, within walking distance to attractions and the subway station. The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk service was warm and attentive, making check-in and check-out efficient. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit!

Great hotel! I checked in a bit late and didn't want a room at the end of the hall next to the elevator, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my request. The guy at the front desk (the one with glasses) even had a colleague go up and check the room's location for me (a big thank you to the two male staff members who were on duty around midnight on December 6th, I forgot to ask their names). The room was excellent, and I had a very comfortable stay. Highly recommend!
