InterContinental Hotels XISHUANGBANNA RESORT by IHG

For a hotel that boasts 5A-grade luxury, my recent stay was exceptionally poor, completely failing to meet star-rated standards. The main issues revolved around the front desk and security staff's attitudes, which were consistently arrogant, cold, and utterly lacking in service awareness. The front desk service was arrogant and rude: When checking in or asking questions, the staff constantly scowled, spoke with impatience, and gave disdainful looks. They showed no initiative to help and exuded an air of superiority throughout. This was a complete departure from the professionalism and warmth expected of a luxury hotel. The security staff were haughty: When asking basic questions about parking or directions, the security guards were extremely arrogant, spoke brusquely, and were unresponsive, even showing signs of disdain. This lack of courtesy and professionalism from security personnel was completely inconsistent with the positioning of a 5A hotel. No matter how good the facilities are, poor service renders them meaningless. For a supposedly luxury service, they couldn't even manage basic respect. Their arrogant and cold attitudes made the experience extremely uncomfortable. I will definitely not stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

The room was very spacious with excellent natural light and was super clean. They even provided fruit! The staff were incredibly responsive and accommodating, always replying promptly, even late at night. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the design is grand and very photogenic. I really didn't want to leave!

📍 Convenient location, very close to the airport and Gaozhuang. 🌴 Stunning environment, every photo is postcard-perfect, like living in a botanical garden. 🏊 Huge pool with a kids' water park, absolutely fantastic for families. 🍜 Rich breakfast, the Dai-style rice noodles were amazing. 🦚 You can see peacocks at the hotel, the kids loved it! Service was warm and attentive, rooms were comfortable and quiet. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Xishuangbanna! Highly recommend!👏

Terrible soundproofing! The guests staying there were really ill-mannered, just leaving their trash everywhere. The staff offered no service whatsoever. I stayed one night and fled, couldn't take it anymore! In the buffet restaurant, flies were buzzing all over the food, and the staff thought it was completely normal. When I asked them to change it, they acted like I was making a big deal out of nothing. Besides the convenient location, there's absolutely nothing good about this place!

The hotel is quite large with a nice environment, and there are plenty of activities for kids. They also have a good selection of entertainment. The rooms are spacious and quiet at night. There were many complimentary items that were replenished regularly. The butler contacted us in advance to arrange the room. I would choose this place again next time. The surrounding area is also very convenient. The only downside was that breakfast was too crowded.

My InterContinental getaway was absolutely perfect! The hotel's environment is stunning, with a fantastic design. The room was spacious and comfortable, offering beautiful views right from the bed. The service was warm and attentive, full of smiles from check-in to check-out – truly a thoughtful, butler-style service. The pool, restaurant, and spa facilities are all excellent, allowing for a perfect vacation without even leaving the premises. The food was exquisite and delicious, and the breakfast spread was rich and varied. I completely relaxed here and found my good mood again. I'll definitely be back!

InterContinental Xishuangbanna Resort Review The InterContinental Xishuangbanna boasts an excellent location on the former site of the Dai King's Palace, immersing guests in a rich Dai-Thai atmosphere. Upon entering, it feels like stepping into a tropical paradise. The resort grounds are expansive, lush with greenery, and peacocks roam freely, making every turn a picturesque photo opportunity. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring private balconies with scenic views. The decor incorporates ethnic elements, and the bedding and bathroom amenities are high-quality. Soundproofing and privacy are also excellent. Breakfast offers a wide variety, including local Dai snacks, as well as Chinese and Western dishes, all tasting great. Family-friendly facilities are top-notch, with ample swimming pools, children's activities, and cultural experiences. The service is warm and attentive. Overall, it offers great value for money and a full resort experience, making it a prime choice for luxury accommodation in Xishuangbanna. Bringing my little one to Xishuangbanna, I blindly chose the InterContinental Xishuangbanna, and it did not disappoint. The hotel facilities are excellent, and they offer a wealth of activities for families with kids. There's even a bubble tea photo shoot experience available right in the hotel – from choosing outfits and makeup to the actual photography, the whole process is incredibly well-organized and relaxed. Just the hotel's distinctive architecture alone provides fantastic photo opportunities with a strong Banna flavor, completely eliminating the need to brave the crowds at outside attractions for pictures.

InterContinental Xishuangbanna is absolutely amazing! Built on the former site of the Dai Royal Palace, its red walls and golden pagodas exude an exotic charm. The tropical gardens are lush and green, with peacocks roaming freely. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering direct views of the rainforest from the balcony. Breakfast is abundant, and the service is attentive, with the butler providing comprehensive assistance throughout our stay. You can take stunning photos and experience Dai culture without even leaving the hotel. It truly maximizes the vacation experience. Highly recommended!
