JAMES JOYCE Coffetel (Xishuangbanna Jinghong Splashing Water Plaza Riverside Night Market)

Comfy stay in a convenient location. The cleaning lady for my room was nice! The downside was the long wait of just one elevator to high floors. Lobby and breakfast area were lackluster and untidy, service was not great compared to other JamesJoyce hotels I stayed before in Beijing and Pu'er. The staff here accidentally removed my keycard access on the second night, so I had to go all the way downstairs in a hurry, no apologies. Check-in and check-out did not go smoothly. Some in-room items were broken so I did not bother to use them.

I stayed here for two nights in a row. The location is perfect, pack of tourists. The room is quite spacious, with all the basic amenities you need. One complaint is that it can get a little bit noisy at night because it's so close to the riverside night markets. Double check if you are a light sleeper like me.

The service from check-in and throughout the whole stay was wonderful. The only big issue for me was Wifi did not work well. I had to take a few work calls with video and the signal was bad. The breakfast was convenient and tasted fine. But for families on vacation and if you have time, I would recommend going to another restaurant. The location was fantastic, right next to the local's night market that went on forever! Central to the city, very short Didi rides to nearby landmarks. I would stay here again if I'm just traveling for fun.
