YunGuan Shunde House Resort Hotel （Jinghong, West Shuangjing Starlight Night Market Shop)

This is by far the most comfortable designer hotel I've stayed at in Xishuangbanna. The ground floor is a tea shop, and the outdoor space is incredibly relaxing. There are water features and lush greenery, and you're just a few minutes' walk from the Great Golden Pagoda and Starlight Night Market. When it gets hot in the afternoon or you're tired from exploring, you can enjoy an afternoon tea in the courtyard! Absolutely beautiful! I'll definitely be back!

I’m taking time out specifically to write this review because my experience was just that good. It started from the moment I checked in, with the sweet smile of the lady at reception who offered various discount vouchers and mosquito repellent, and kindly explained all the room facilities. The room itself was clean, tidy, and had an elegant atmosphere. Even our photographer recommended taking some shots right outside the hotel, haha! The location is also excellent – right opposite 'Xiawang Thai Restaurant' and only a 5-minute walk to the Starlight Night Market. But the absolute, most highly recommended thing is the exquisite homemade breakfast. It was absolutely delicious, a definite 100 points! I genuinely couldn't bear to leave anything on my plate each morning, polishing it all off – it's definitely a major bonus point for the hotel's high rating. Because our stay was so wonderful, we even booked to come back here after a two-day trip elsewhere! 😄😁

1. I stayed at this guesthouse in Yunnan for 5 nights. I contacted them in advance, and they provided airport pickup service. 2. The room was spacious, giving my child plenty of room to play around. It had one double bed and one single bed. The room featured floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a pleasant view of the greenery outside. The toiletries provided were all of good quality; I didn't even need to use my own. There was even a lighted makeup mirror! The bathroom also had a dryer, which was very practical, especially since we needed to wash and dry underwear daily. This is a must-have for families with kids. They also provided a laundry basket and hangers for drying clothes, plus two types of slippers. Many details at this guesthouse are truly guest-oriented, anticipating guests' needs and making things convenient. It feels very thoughtful and is something all hotels and guesthouses could learn from. 3. Breakfast was served after 8 AM, a set menu that was very well put together. I especially loved their congee – it was delicious! The afternoon tea was also great, with good coffee, peach shortbread, and double-skin milk pudding. 4. The service was incredibly attentive! The staff and the proprietress were very enthusiastic. We could ask them for advice on dining and transportation, which was super convenient. On the day we checked in, they gave us a welcome kit with mosquito repellent, aloe vera gel, comfrey ointment, and an eye mask. My husband caught a cold, and they immediately prepared ginger water and ginger plaster for him. I was really touched! I hope they continue to operate with such dedication. Although the price during the Chinese New Year period was much higher than usual, the service and quality at this guesthouse made me feel it was totally worth it.

First off, the location is incredibly convenient; vehicles can pull right up to the entrance! It's very close to the Starlight Night Market, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a lively area. That's a huge plus! Secondly, the service was exceptionally detailed; everything was explained clearly and thoroughly. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic! The place was very clean and tidy, and they proactively helped carry our luggage to the room. The courtyard environment is beautiful, perfect for just lounging around lazily!

Great! The room was clean and tidy, and the host even gave us some Pu'er tea. The service was also excellent, and the location was convenient – centrally located yet quiet. Overall, highly recommended! The only minor suggestion would be to improve the soundproofing in the rooms.

I was really happy with my stay at this guesthouse in Gaoshan, Xishuangbanna. The location is excellent; I could walk to the Starlight Night Market and the Great Golden Pagoda, which made getting around super convenient. The front desk staff were so welcoming and friendly. They even offered me a complimentary room upgrade when I checked in and invited me to have some free tea and chat for a while, which was a lovely touch. There's a small pond right next to the guesthouse with a nice view, and the staff patiently explained the surrounding area to me. Plus, if you need it, they can help you book attraction tickets and recommend local tour routes, which saved me a lot of planning time. It was a really worry-free and comfortable stay, and I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Gaoshan.
