We chose the Executive King Room, and honestly, the soundproofing was terrible! It was impossible to get a good night's sleep, and there was no hot water.
A hotel is primarily for sleeping, and not being able to sleep well is a major drawback! For anyone considering this place, I'd advise caution.
Cons:
1. Impossible to sleep well: At midnight, the sound of the toilet flushing upstairs was as loud as if it were flushing right in your room! The footsteps from upstairs were incredibly loud, like there was only a thin wooden board separating us. Loud arguments and laughter from people talking on the phone at the end of the hallway were very audible, and no one seemed to care. Even with the door closed, the noise came right in, no exaggeration! You simply can't sleep; it's very easy to be woken up in the middle of the night or in the morning.
2. No hot water: The hot water temperature was low at night, and it never became consistently hot, even after running it for a long time. So, we didn't shower. For washing hair, we had to boil our own water and pour it into the sink – you can imagine how inconvenient that was.
3. The bathroom floor was very slippery; you really need to be careful. Even a little bit of water made it easy to slip.
Pros: The decor and environment were decent.
