JIUZHAIGOU DAYS HOTEL BY WYNDHAM

The hotel is pretty good. The rooms are large and clean. It's a few kilometers from the scenic area, but the hotel offers a shuttle service, which is very convenient. The food is also quite nice; breakfast has a good variety, and the hot pot set for dinner was delicious. Overall, it's definitely worth recommending.

Pros: 1. The king-size room with mountain views and a private terrace was very spacious. 2. The TV was huge, making it great for casting and watching shows. 3. The air conditioning could both heat and cool, which was a big plus, unlike many hotels where central AC only heats in winter. 4. The hotel driver provided excellent and professional service, with a warm and enthusiastic attitude. Cons: 1. The drainage pipes were incredibly loud and noisy (as shown in the video – turn up the volume to hear the sound of the water draining). 2. The washbasin was right next to the bed with no partition (as shown in the picture), which, combined with point 1, negatively impacted the stay. 3. The soundproofing in the room was terrible. We could clearly hear the TV and bathroom use from the adjacent room, significantly affecting our rest at night. 4. Before arriving, I had read many positive reviews about the restaurant and service. I'm not sure if it was because of the New Year period, but my actual experience was just average. The breakfast was similar to standard hotel buffets. The housekeeping and butler service were also just average in terms of attitude and professionalism. During our two-night stay, housekeeping didn't replenish toiletries (tissues, face towels). Upon check-in, we received a thick yak yogurt. When we asked for another one, housekeeping told us to ask the front desk. The front desk initially said they didn't have any, then later sent up a regular Mengniu boxed yogurt. I don't understand where the thick yogurt given at check-in came from, and why we couldn't get another one during a two-night stay.

Overall, the hotel was great. The front desk staff, especially one of the young men, provided excellent service – big thumbs up! We even exchanged WeChat contacts, and he was always quick to respond and assist. The hotel also offers complimentary late-night snacks, which you can order freely, and they were delicious. Breakfast was very good as well.

The hotel's location is pretty average; there's not much to see or do nearby. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area and the main restaurant district. The breakfast had a good variety and was filling. We had a small issue on check-in day; I think the housekeeping staff needs to pay more attention to details. We asked for an extra quilt, and the one brought to us had clearly been used, with hair and dirty marks on it. What I was most dissatisfied with was the hotel concierge. After adding them on WeChat, they were quick to respond the first time we asked for something, but subsequent messages went unanswered. Not great value for money, I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was spacious, and the hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the park entrance. They even arranged a special shuttle service to take us there, which was incredibly helpful. The hotel restaurant was excellent; both the hot pot and stir-fries were fantastic, much better than eating out elsewhere.

The room was clean and the air conditioning kept it nice and warm. Lily from the staff upgraded my room and even helped me order late-night supper, which was delicious. The breakfast had a great variety too. Overall, it's a good place and I'd recommend it. Honestly, the service here was even better than the luxury hotel I stayed at in Chengdu a couple of days ago. For this price, it's an absolute steal! Plus, having a humidifier in the room is a huge bonus for someone like me who stays in hotels for a week straight! This is definitely the right hotel to choose when visiting Jiuzhaigou.
