Banyan Tree Jiuzhaigou

Decided to visit Jiuzhaigou during the Chinese New Year holidays at the last minute. After comparing several hotels, we chose Banyan Tree. Firstly, because of the Banyan Tree brand – it offered great value for money during the off-peak season. Secondly, I was drawn to its secluded mountaintop location, which felt much more suitable for a peaceful getaway than hotels closer to the scenic area. The staff, from the front desk to the rooms to the restaurant, were incredibly enthusiastic and helpful, assisting us with our luggage and getting food for our child. A special shout-out to staff members Rao Junqiang and Liu Ningning. This season, I highly recommend the yak hot pot at the restaurant; the small set meal was more than enough for our family of five. The quality of the meat and vegetables was excellent, and it tasted delicious – far superior to the restaurants near the park entrance. We upgraded to the Ancient Well Suite, which offered a perfect view of the sunrise. Witnessing the majestic 'thousands of mountains bathed in morning sun, ten thousand miles revealing their glory' was an incredible experience. We'll definitely be back in the summer! 😊

Nestled on a secluded mountain, this hotel offers a serene escape to enjoy a beautiful life. As we drove up towards the summit, the sight of the dazzling lights on the cliff face was absolutely stunning and instantly lifted our spirits. Upon arrival, the front desk gave us a warm welcome. A staff member, Xiao Liu, kindly brought out a luggage cart and carefully placed our belongings on it. The room's aesthetic was 'old money' style, which I love – it feels timeless and elegant. The spacious bathroom allowed me to soak in the tub while watching the sunrise. The breakfast was a delightful mix of Western and Chinese options; the croissants were incredibly authentic, and the noodles and rice vermicelli were also delicious. The hotel also organized cultural activities like hiking and scripture copying. When we left, Manager Rao personally prepared a packed lunch for our journey, which was a very thoughtful touch. The whole experience was incredibly heartwarming, and I'll definitely be back!
