## Location and Transportation: I chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to the scenic area entrance. I could walk to the park in the morning, and upon arrival, I confirmed it was indeed very close. This is a definite plus. Furthermore, there's a cluster of restaurants and shops not far from the hotel, making it convenient for dining and shopping. It's also quite close to the bus pick-up point. All these are advantages. And there's a McDonald's right downstairs, which is great for fast-food lovers. ## Parking: There's a parking lot right at the entrance, making it convenient for those arriving by car. ## Room View: I booked a twin room in advance, and it was possible to combine the beds. I had discussed this beforehand, and apparently, the most economical room type couldn't be combined, only the 'sunshine room' could. The room didn't have much of a view; outside the window was an abandoned building. ## Room Facilities: The room wasn't large, but it had everything necessary. The bathroom counter was small, and there was no place to hang towels. There was a sofa bed-like structure next to the bed, which was comfortable for sitting and reading. The overhead light was bright enough. The desk was a bit narrow, and it got cluttered easily if you put too many things on it. Also, there were too few charging outlets in the room, and the light switch combination was a bit unclear. The light directly above the bed made it hard to sleep when on, and I couldn't turn it off individually. ## Bed: The bed was quite comfortable. It would be even better if there was a small墊 between the combined beds. ## Breakfast: The breakfast spread was quite generous. Seating was limited, so it's best to go early. However, on the first day, my child's noodles were missing seasoning. When I went back to add it, a girl and a man responsible for clearing dishes took away my untouched bowl of wontons! I was shocked and asked them, 'You're clearing it before I've even finished?' My bag was still on the chair, and I hadn't even had my milk yet. Didn't they see any of that? The girl and the man just stared at me blankly, showing no apology, not even a 'sorry,' and just walked away. I was furious. Not only were they inconsiderate and wasteful, but they also refused to apologize when a guest confronted them. I then spoke to a young man, but I don't know what happened afterward. This left a very bad impression. ## Laundry Room: The hotel's laundry room was excellent. Not only were the washing machine and dryer separate, but the detergent and fabric softener were pre-dispensed, so I didn't have to add them myself, which was very convenient. Also, the dryer had three settings, and the medium setting dried clothes perfectly in twenty minutes. This was a highlight. ## Service: The person who answered my initial call wasn't particularly helpful. However, during my second call to confirm the room type, a Mr. Xu offered a complimentary breakfast for my child, which was very thoughtful. My child didn't eat much, but it was a very kind gesture. Additionally, the front desk can help purchase tickets for the 'Legend of Romance' show, which is also very convenient. In summary, the hotel maintains the quality expected of a chain hotel, and the overall service is good. However, those two individuals in the restaurant could use more training. I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Jiuzhaigou.

The hotel is located about 300 meters from the drop-off and pick-up point for the Jiuzhaigou high-speed rail scenic spot direct shuttle bus and the ******* Epic Banquet (Zangwang Yanwu) parking lot, and about 700 meters from the main entrance of the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Walking to the scenic area, taking the shuttle bus, dining, and shopping are all very convenient. The overall room environment is relatively clean and tidy, and we didn't encounter any obvious issues with the sanitary facilities or bedding. However, the water temperature for the shower was poorly controlled; it kept cycling endlessly—cold, lukewarm, hot, lukewarm, cold, lukewarm, and so on—making the shower quite uncomfortable. Front desk service was attentive. Upon check-in, we were given complimentary candy and drinks, with an option to choose the local specialty, seabuckthorn juice. Because the hotel was fully booked and we couldn't switch to our preferred room type, the front desk also thoughtfully provided free breakfast vouchers as compensation. Overall, this hotel is well-suited for travelers whose main goal is just to find a conveniently located, walkable place to sleep near the scenic area.

Out of several hotels, I picked Holiday Inn Express. Great value for money, very close to the valley entrance, and super convenient for dining. There's a mini-mart downstairs, and since it’s set back a bit from the river, it wasn't noisy at all. Having a self-service laundry was a big plus. Definitely made the right choice!

I rarely leave negative reviews on Ctrip, but this first one goes to Holiday Inn Express Jiuzhaigou. **Environment:** As the pictures show, I booked a king-size bed room, and when I opened the window, there was a garbage dump outside, with some industrial barrels. The front desk said I booked a room with no view, but surely there's a difference between no view and a garbage dump view, right? I booked two rooms, and in the other room, an insect crawled onto my face in the middle of the night! The doors and windows were all tightly shut, so I suspect there were already bugs in the room and it hadn't been properly disinfected. The bugs in the room seemed to refresh every night; stink bugs kept dying by the window, and one even flew by my ear, buzzing loudly. How could there be so many bugs without the window open? It was driving me crazy! **Service:** I want to complain about the short-haired woman at the front desk and the older woman in the restaurant. When I called the front desk about the room issues, the woman was extremely impatient. Her tone was annoyed on all three calls, and she offered no solutions, only saying the hotel was full and they couldn't arrange anything else. Finally, when I went to the front desk, another male staff member was proactive in trying to resolve the issue and helped me switch to a twin room. However, when I mentioned that the king-size room was more expensive and asked for a refund of the difference, the female front desk staff disagreed, looking incredulous and claiming the twin 'sun room' was more expensive. I even showed her my order! We argued for an hour, which severely delayed our plans for Jiuzhaigou that day. The auntie cooking noodles in the cafeteria was also ridiculous. With so few people there, she counted heads a hundred times. I waited for a long time at the front, and it was as if she had a grudge against me, always serving people who came after me first. As soon as I urged her, she would start counting heads again. This is pure nonsense! I suggest they replace her; she's a huge time-waster! Plus, the noodles were awful. Stay away!!!

Let's start with the positives. The location is convenient, close to the main entrance of Jiuzhaigou, and it's easy to get to the train station by bus. Since I booked through Trip.com, even though I was told that InterContinental members couldn't accrue nights or points, I still received a complimentary breakfast and a room upgrade. Now for the negatives, of which there are four. Firstly, the price is high and the value for money is poor, with subpar service. Secondly, the facilities are outdated (see pictures); even the bath towels were frayed at the edges. I recommend bringing your own disposable towels if you stay here. Thirdly, the beds in the twin room were exceptionally small, making for an uneasy night's sleep – I barely rested. Fourthly, the floors are very thin; I could clearly hear people running and jumping upstairs.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area entrance. The surrounding area has complete amenities, with a McDonald's, convenience stores, and various restaurants downstairs. The hotel staff's service attitude was very good; the front desk kindly helped upgrade us to a room with a window and complimentary breakfast. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The room itself was clean and tidy, and although a bit small, it was well-arranged and fully equipped. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was quite good, no spicy dishes and no garlic, which caters to most people's tastes. The only downside is that the air conditioning only provides cooling and not heating. We could tolerate it in late September, but what about when it gets colder? Also, Jiuzhaigou surprisingly experienced a power outage.
