Conrad Jiuzhaigou

I must give a 5-star rating for my stay at the Conrad Jiuzhaigou! Nestled among the mountains and forests, the hotel features a sophisticated ******* style. The rooms are spacious and bright, and thoughtful touches like the humidifier, minibar, and Byredo toiletries—along with the spotless housekeeping—made me feel completely at ease. Kari was proactive, professional, and warm from the moment I checked in, completely exceeding my expectations. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Jiuzhaigou, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Unlike the Conrad in the city center, the Jiuzhai Valley location is peaceful and serene. Waking up in the morning and opening the window reveals rolling green mountains. For breakfast, my absolute favorite was the Sichuan peppercorn brownie paired with butter tea, while Xixi loved the beef brisket noodles and yak yogurt. They even gave us the classic Conrad bear upon check-out. We will definitely come back!

Overall, I was satisfied, and my stay was very good. The room layout and the view were both excellent. However, at this time of year, there might be insects in the room. The staff responded quickly and, since they couldn't resolve the issue, they moved us to another room. The only thing I was unhappy with was the food; it wasn't good, and the afternoon tea was even worse.

Everything was great, except for the lack of a kids' play area. The shared Hilton kids' play area was also quite lacking, with hardly any toys and feeling very empty.

Stayed for three nights, it was a very comfortable experience. From the front desk, concierge, and service center to the restaurant, you could feel that every staff member was trying their best to provide excellent service. Although the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it covered all the basics. As a bread lover, I was pleasantly surprised that the bread exceeded the standard of most five-star hotels – excellent!

Facilities: The hardware facilities are quite complete, and the room space is also very large. You can also sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. The curtains were a bit difficult to pull. Hygiene: Very clean, no strange smells, and plenty of toiletries were replenished during cleaning. Environment: Excellent. The high-floor scenic room directly faces the mountains, and just sitting on the sofa and daydreaming feels very relaxing. Service: The attitude was very good, and there was also a sightseeing car for pick-up and drop-off. Even when encountering staff while walking, they would proactively ask if a car was needed. The only downsides were that the restaurant was a bit small, so you had to queue if you went a little late, and the breakfast variety wasn't extensive enough.

Overall, for a hotel located within a scenic area and considering its price point, it's acceptable, but there's nothing particularly surprising or amazing about it. You can tell they put effort into designing and creating a certain ambiance. However, as a hotel, the focus should really be on guest comfort, such as indoor cleanliness and the quality of the bedding, etc.
