The service was exceptional from the moment I stepped into the hotel. Was welcomed by the Potter who took my bags from the car and accompanied me to the reception area for my check in. The concierge was amazing all the way to my room. The environment is serene and very clean. I enjoyed the food which is reasonably priced as well.

By far, the best 5 star service that you will find in Johannesburg. The staff alone are professional enough for you to be motivated for your stay. The greeting from some of the first class managers including Bella, and Dingaan was exceptional! Then, we had a birthday trip planned, the senior manager Monica had arranged some incredible welcome surprises, and that just made the trip that much more enjoyable. Next, the restaurant, was busy from day through the night, with the best food, and I can tell you they had some excellent vegetarian options. Anywhere that we wanted to go, the staff were always on hand to accommodate with excellent service. I will be making another trip before the end of the year, it was that good. Bravo to all the staff also including Londiwe - Front office manager Tshaka - Restaurant Manager Chris - Bellman Kenneth - Security Ntando - Bellman

This is my second time returning to the hotel after my first trip. They remembered my name as I arrived which shows great attention to detail with customer care. I upgraded to the suite for this particular visit and honestly it was a great decision. Look forward to visiting them again when I go back to South Africa in a year’s time.

Picked this hotel due mostly to location, stayed only one night. We used the Gautrain to get to the hotel from the airport, it was an easy and safe walk with luggage to the hotel along a pedestrian only street. Check in staff were very friendly and offered us a much needed cool welcome drink. Room was wonderful, AC was working and we each had a generous bottle of water, if there was any load shedding that night we did not notice it. We decided to dine in the hotels Proud Mary restaurant after noticing it seemed to be the busiest restaurant on the street, we were not disappointed, we had an excellent dinner and breakfast the next morning. Door staff stored our luggage the next day as we toured around a bit, and when we returned to pick it up they offered us a lift to the Gautrain station in a golf cart, which was really appreciated. This hotel and restaurant exceeded our expectations, wished we had time to spend another night.
Fully transformed with cool, contemporary style, Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg, welcomes you to a chic urban resort – the city’s only hillside hotel and the only hotel with elevated views of the lushly green urban forest stretching to the horizon.

The hotel environment is beautiful.
I had dinner at the hotel restaurant once before, and I wanted to experience it once.
The location of the restaurant is great, the view is expansive, the autumn scenery is beautiful, and the meal is also very good.
The room is spacious and comfortable. The room I booked has two balconies with beautiful views on both sides.
The attitude of the service staff is very good, and the service is very considerate and meticulous.
Very recommended to stay.

This B&B is run by a kind-hearted Chinese couple. It’s easy to communicate and the environment is very good. It’s very safe to go out in this area during the day. Taxi service is very fast. It is recommended to buy a phone card when you come to the airport here, or ask the landlord to help you buy it because it is available on Taobao in China. The ones I bought are basically useless. There is a supermarket nearby where you can walk to buy ingredients and cook in the kitchen. It is very suitable for Chinese people to stay in a hotel.

Capture the history of Johannesburg, city of gold from this hotel. Hotel reception and main building are housed in a monumental structure with a plaque describing the history of this land. Without a doubt,no wonder why it was declared a heritage site. The giagantic apple custard trees provide a serene environment for tourism ambience. Clean rooms give extra restful experience. Close to the hotel is Kilarney and Rosebank malls for that exquisite shopping. Several options available for accessing nearby historical sites. Gauteng train and red bus tour are a must activities. Really appreciated the short stay with supporting hotel staff. Lethi and Esther by the reception are just amazingly outstanding!!

GGuest UserMy husband and me, we traveled to ZA for the first time. Our first stop was at The Ashford guesthouse. That was actually a perfect choice! :-) I really loved their fittings and furnishings on the whole property. Everything was so lovely! We stayed there for 4 nights. The staff has been unbelievable great, too! As we are booth vegans, it was difficult to find the right accommodation. But the guesthouse staff is open minded to create a vegan breakfast every morning. It was delicious! The situation of the guesthouse is good, as you have the chance to walk to the Rosebank Mall close by. There, you can find lots of shops and restaurants. All in all, we definitely recommend this place! As we won’t make it to the Kruger NP this time, we definitely have to come back and we’ll book this guesthouse again! :-) Thanks for everything!
MMpho MolefeThe Mint Hotel 84 gets the basics right with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service staff. My room was a standard double with a queen bed, it had everything I needed including a desk, coffee maker, and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was cleaned promptly every day.
The breakfast spread in the dining area had a variety of options including cereals, toast, fruit, pastries, and eggs. The food was of average quality and freshness, nothing exceptional but sufficient to start the day.
The service staff at the front desk and concierge were pleasant, helpful, and efficient whenever I had questions. They provided recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area.
The hotel has an outdoor pool and fitness centre, although I did not use the fitness centre during my stay. The hallways and public areas were well maintained and clean.
Overall, the Mint Hotel 84 provides good, no-frills accommodations in a convenient location for exploring Katherine. The price point is fair for the quality you get, making it a solid choice for standard business or leisure travel.
GGuest UserThe Sandton Garden Court is a gracious hotel located next to Mandela Square. An outstanding buffet breakfast is provided daily. The staff at the front desk helpfully arranged a private tour of Johannesburg for us (cost about 2000 Rand or $100 for two of us) and it was fabulous. When my partner fell ill with a viral infection, the hotel's on-call doctor came to our room, diagnosed the problem and provided medications for symptom relief. We are very grateful and impressed with this hotel.
TTrevor_PilotVery disappointed after our stay at The DaVinci Hotel.
I was thoroughly looking forward to this stay as I have not stayed in this hotel before and it had been on my list, check in took quite long, which didn't bother me initially but ended up being a compounding factor after everything else, we had booked online and it took close to an hour for us to get checked in and given our room key, we used this time to look around.
When we finally got to our room, we quickly left everything and went to the mall then had dinner, we got back relatively late and only upon getting back did we notice the bed was 2 single beds pushed together, however we booked and paid for a delux king room, needless to say I spent the duration of the evening falling through the 2 beds as I was trying to cuddle my lady, so I didn't get much sleep to say the least.
When we got up in the morning I quite badly needed a coffee to wake me up after the night I had and Lo and behold, the coffee machine was not working!
By this point you can imagine the frustration.. so we got dressed and went down for breakfast, the process of simply getting a coffee took close to 40 minutes, let alone the food arriving! We actually ended up getting up and leaving because we had plans for the day and did not expect to wait over an hour for our breakfast to arrive! The cold food that was available at the buffet was very dry as well but we scoffed it down and went on our way, it was only while we were walking out that the juice we ordered when we arrived was beginning to make its way to our table, so we were given the bottle and we went on our way
We mentioned the incorrect room as well as the coffee machine to the lady at the checkout desk, to which I was reassured that next time we stay it will be nice
I can very confidently confirm that there will not be a next time from us, as we do expect a certain service when checking into a 5 star hotel and paying the price that comes along with it
On a positive note, the concierge was helpful with taking our luggage to the room
Such a pity for a lovely perfectly located place to put such little effort into the quality they provide
KKAIKAIThe environment is very good, the decoration is actually okay, but after all, it can still be seen after a long time, and the health status is okay, that is, a pillow on the sofa is broken, and the pillows in the room for the 21st night after tax increase have to be used well Right. The service was very good. No matter whether the deposit was discussed during the check-in of the previous generation or later led to the room, it was very gentle and polite. Many people praised the delicious breakfast.
TTrapped in travelThis is my second time staying that the Maslow hotel and once again I am very pleased with the service I have received from the staff and I was very impressed with the view I had from my room this time. Definitely going to be a regular stop when I fly to Johannesburg.
The centrality of the hotel makes it a perfect stopover for people flying in from other countries because everything you could need is within walking distance and the area is very safe for those who are not familiar with South Africa.
BBrougleI recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by its excellent location, top-notch service, and overall hospitality.
The hotel's location was simply outstanding. It was conveniently situated, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Whether it was exploring the city or embarking on a safari adventure, the hotel's central location made it a perfect base for my travels.
The service provided by the hotel staff was truly exceptional. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive assistance throughout my stay, I felt genuinely cared for. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met, including a special favor of allowing me to leave my suitcase while I was away on the safari. Their flexibility and accommodating nature were greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was a sight to behold. It exuded elegance and charm, with its beautifully designed interiors and well-maintained facilities. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the tastefully decorated rooms to the inviting common areas. It was a pleasure to return to such a comfortable and inviting space after a long day of exploring.
Overall Rating: ★★★★★
KKEQIANGThis hotel has lived 3 times. The quality of the environment and the interior and exterior of the room, did not have to say, very good. The beer cola in the refrigerator is free of charge and is free to drink. The path inside the high ball is free to go. But very long. Go back and forth at least 3 kilometers. The only problem is that the breakfast is all Western. Coffee black tea bread, bacon ham, etc., only mushrooms and fried tomatoes. . . The service can't talk about anything, the reception desk is very friendly and polite. Going to the spa center, there is only a sauna room, no big pool, or a bathtub in the room.
DDeborah-AnneI have stayed at the Quatermain before, and I am happy to say that the whole experience was once again just lovely! I had arrived VERY early on my check-in day and the staff made sure that I had a room well before the scheduled check-in time AND they upgraded me too!
The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and all round just a delight!! Even with the ongoing challenges that loadshedding (scheduled power outtages) brings to the smooth operation of any business.
The gardens are immaculate and tranquil, and it is unbelievable to think you are in the middle of everything with the peace and quiet that pervades.
The little bistro / restaurant's menu is thankfully limited, as it means that the quality can be assured and anything that is made tastes deliciously homemade. The evening buffet is very good value for money!
Just a small note that due to loadshedding, sometimes the email/booking system gives some issues - so don't forget to just follow up once booked :)
Kkenlam1123Good experience. The facilities were top-notch with everything I needed to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staffs were friendly and helpful to make sure I had everything I needed.
The breakfast was good with many of selection for choice.
The hotel's location was also excellent, with easy access to the centre of Johannesburg.
Overall, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay with excellent facilities and a convenient location.
