Attrus by LSE - Hostel

The location is near the border crossing, which is convenient since I arrived late in Malaysia from Singapore. It's only about a 10-minute walk. The service, however, was terrible. When I checked in, the front desk staff told me I had to pay a 10 ringgit tax per night. I was pretty sure I had already paid, so I contacted Trip.com to confirm, and they told me I didn't need to pay it. I sorted it out with the staff and managed to check in. But then, in the early hours of the morning, someone suddenly entered my room without knocking, pulled up the blinds without permission, and started arguing loudly. They saw me in my underwear but didn't seem to care. It was a truly embarrassing and humiliating experience.

Everything was quite comfortable, but the main highlight is that it's only a 5-minute walk to the Singapore border.

Everything was good. The reception desk has very convenient hours. However, there are two issues. First, the elevator wasn't working, so I had to carry my luggage up to the 3rd floor, which in reality felt like four flights of stairs. Also, there were cockroaches scurrying around. Not many, but I saw them in the hallway and even in the bed… And one more thing, the curtain is transparent. You can see right through it. Just a heads up!

The environment is good. Even though it's a shared room, guests are usually very considerate. However, there was a couple the other day who walked into the room wearing slippers – that was really uncivilized.

This hostel exceeded all my expectations, far superior to those mixed-dorm hostels in China without partitions or curtains. The slightly chubbier girl at the front desk was incredibly friendly, while the thinner one was less so. Despite this, the overall experience balances out to a five-star rating.

Right in the city center. Everything looks good and clean. The elevator was out of order, so I had to walk up to the 3rd floor every time. The kitchen setup is odd; the fridge is in the basement, and you have to walk two floors to get to the microwave. My concerns about this were simply ignored.
