Holiday Inn Resort Warsaw - Jozefow

After a long time, we have once again moved into the HIR Jozefow, which we have known since it opened, just outside Warsaw. As always, check-in went smoothly. The General Manager generously upgraded us to the largest suite in the hotel, the "Forest Suite". In addition to a bedroom, this corner suite also has a separate living area, a spacious dining area, two bathrooms and two balconies, which can also be equipped with sun loungers if required. We would like to take this opportunity to expressly thank the hotel management for the generosity shown, which is not a given in other hotels, including and especially in the luxurious hotels of the InterContinental group. Last but not least, the amenities provided go far beyond the usual standards by which one would measure a hotel in the Holiday Inn chain; they are to be seen as an expression of appreciation and hospitality. As always when we stay at the HIR Jozefow, we look forward to the excellently equipped fitness area with its comfortably heated indoor pool and the new whirlpool. Unfortunately, a longer stay is not very pleasant due to the hard wooden loungers (planks) at the edge of the pool without soft cushions. This could easily be remedied with simple means. Otherwise, the hotel offers a wide variety of leisure activities (Balinese spa, 2 saunas, golf, mini golf, bike rental, rope garden, tennis, volleyball court, play equipment, etc.) that will never let you get bored. The surrounding forests and hiking trails along the Swider, which runs in front of the hotel, to the Vistula are ideal for hiking. The in-house restaurant Luna Sol spoils its guests from morning to evening with freshly prepared local and international dishes. The evening menu is deliberately not particularly extensive, but the dishes on offer are deliciously prepared and the presentation increases the anticipation of the food. A big thank you especially to the invisible kitchen staff, who run such a creative kitchen. Overall, we once again had a very pleasant stay in a Holiday Inn, which, particularly compared to other hotels in this chain in Europe, scores highly for its wide range of leisure activities, leaving many other Holiday Inn hotels clearly behind. Of course, time has not passed this hotel by without leaving its mark; after around a decade and a half on the market, at some point consideration should be given to a partial, gradual renovation in order to maintain the standard the hotel has strived for and achieved over the years, or perhaps even improve it.

Excellent experience albeit short. Reception even at 3 am without problems. Spectacular breakfast from 6.30 am. Clean and comfortable rooms. Spa and gym. Rooms for disabled people. Possibility of preparing coffee in the room.

At any time of the year, I have been visiting the Holiday Inn Józefów Hotel since the very beginning, when it was built, in this forest scenery, so close to Warsaw. I visited twice this year, in July, in the middle of summer, with friends. Very warm hospitality begins at the reception, a well-prepared team welcomes everyone individually. Excellent knowledge of English. Next to it there are jars of honey from our own apiary, a nice gesture to welcome you to this very atmospheric facility (you can buy it as a gift for a small fee). I received a wonderful forest suite, with balcony views of beautiful forests. Comfortable beds, daily service of free tea, coffee, cocoa and drinking water are standard. A welcome plate of fruit and red wine added a hearty note of splendor. Although it is not a four-star facility, the focus is on an elegant and luxurious aura of stay for guests, although the furnishings of the rooms slowly indicate that they will be used for a longer period of time. However, everything was neat and clean. The wonderful, bright, clean hotel swimming pool encourages swimming and relaxation. Saunas are currently open only after 6 p.m., but on request earlier, we understand that some savings are needed, after the difficult period of the hotel's closure during the pandemic crisis, so that guests can benefit from relatively affordable prices for their stay at the hotel. A very tasty and worthy scene is the so-called Swedish buffet in the hotel restaurant, the new Chef tries extremely hard and everything is prepared to the highest standard. Cold snacks, refined soups, various hot dishes and wonderfully homemade cakes, all at a really high and surprising level, let us add that at an affordable price (I hope it stays that way for a long time). The waiter service is a bit irritating, sometimes too slow, but well trained. The fact that individual guests are asked to sign the bill for the uneaten dishes at the entrance, before sitting down at the table, is surprising - it is not very favorable to the guests and creates bad harmony, an example of misunderstanding, as if there was no trust that the bill would be settled after eating. I admit that this is an unusual practice that resembles a milk bar. After pleasant, but also quite unpleasant experiences and conversations on this matter, we hope that this somewhat burdensome procedure at the restaurant checkout will change. Breakfast there is also plentiful and tasty, you can order egg dishes from the waitress. It's a pity that the juices are not freshly squeezed, but I understand the accounting calculations. However, you could add a small station with a juicer for self-service (carrots, apples, etc., not expensive, but gives you something to experiment with). Leaving the facility through a special gate with an electronic room key, we are located right on the Świder River, and you can walk for hours in the middle of absolute silence, spend the summer on tiny, deserted beaches, and even reach the mouth of the Świder River into the Vistula, with extremely picturesque landscapes. Beautiful place, charming surroundings, very nice hospitality

I come to the room before check-out to take my things and in it - the balcony is wide open, very cold, I am looking for a suitcase - it is in another part of the room with packed things lying next to it!!! The jacket was thrown in another part of the room and attention - two camp beds were set up for new people - probably potential new guests. The reception staff laughed at the attention, no apologies! I was in the room half a day after checking in, and no one from the staff bothered to apologize. Massacre...
