Holiday Inn Express NORTH PALM BEACH-OCEANVIEW by IHG

The service was great. The hotel is clean. Good breakfast. There’s a water station at the lobby. 4min walk to the beach.

I was there for the funeral of my brother. They ' tried ' to move my room to a second floor so I could have a more private balcony but no go... Got back from funeral at 4pm and room had still not been cleaned. Never had that happen before and I've stayed there a lot.

There was no beach view. You are actually blocks from the beach access. We were told there were no king bed rooms but there seem to be empty rooms. The breakfast was not good. There was no bacon and the eggs were egg substitute. Our room had no coffee pods and the housekeeper never left any. I had to go to the front desk to get replacements every day. The location was excellent and close to everything we wanted to do, so it over shadowed everything we didn’t like about the facility.

Let’s start with the lobby. Bring a parka. I don’t understand why the lobby temperature needs to be set at 45F. The staff, maybe because they’re cold, lack any affect. Zero personality. Water pressure in the shower? - nope. The shower leaks water on you. Internet? I think the property uses dial-up. Don’t expect to host any zoom meetings during your stay. Good luck downloading documents.

The bathroom was very dated and was not very clean in appearance. Water pressure was terrible . Popcorn ceilings very dated. Front desk staff were very nice.

There was no beach view. The hallway to the room was poorly lit and the walls were dirty. The entry door was difficult to open and shut. The neighborhood was sketchy - especially as the nightfall came. My wife did not feel safe and after her first night I relocated her to another hotel which was less expensive and far nicer in Boca Raton. This property is not as advertised in photos.

No beach view from our accessible room but amazing staff all the way around - reception, housekeeping, maintenance.

Housekeeping wasn’t the greatest. There were days that we didn’t have clean towels or toilet paper. The room didn’t get cleaned until late in the day and one day no one came.

Room carpet was very stained, hall was dirty and they said they hate ******* and all third party providers. Not the friendliest.
