Business Ryokan Nishikiso

I found this guesthouse by searching on Agoda. I was a little worried because a previous review on TripAdvisor mentioned a cigarette smell, but it was very clean and I didn't notice it at all. The room we stayed in had a shared bathroom and toilet, but considering the size and cleanliness of the room, I felt it was very good value for money. I've stayed in many guesthouses before, but I felt this was particularly good value. My friend and I were traveling around Kyoto and Osaka and were looking for cheap accommodation, so I felt we had found a great place to stay. The guesthouse staff were very welcoming, and the landlady took great care of us. When we returned, she greeted us with "Welcome back," which gave us a sense of friendliness that you don't get at hotels. It was a wonderful memory of our stay in Osaka.

For this trip to Kansai, I tried to stay between Osaka and Kyoto to make travel easier. This hostel is very convenient and affordable. The renovations had just been completed. The decor is really lovely and unusual compared to other hostels of the same type in Japan. The staff is very professional and helpful. They were very useful. I highly recommend it. A hostel that stands out!
