Yunokuni Tensyo

This is a very comfortable, relatively large hot spring hotel. They offer a shuttle service from Kaga Onsen Station, and the service is excellent, with the driver even helping with luggage! The hotel lobby provides a wide variety of complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea, so you can literally eat and drink to your heart's content. Most importantly, the food selection is abundant, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the hot spring pools are huge, with three different ones you can rotate through!

This is my fifth time visiting this hot spring hotel. Even though it's a bit old, it's very clean, and every corner is meticulously maintained. First off, the hot spring water comes from their own source, so the quality is incredibly good compared to other hotels. There are three different hot springs, and they operate on a rotating system for men and women, making it a fantastic experience for hot spring lovers. They have a perfect variety of baths, saunas, and even cold plunges. They offer a variety of snacks every hour, like hot spring eggs, cookies, steamed potatoes, jelly, and even various drinks, showing thoughtful consideration for their guests. On the third floor, you can use the massage chairs and foot massagers for free. I didn't opt for the full meal plan, but from what I heard from others, it's better than average.

The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Kaga Onsen Station, which is very convenient if you time it right. The facilities are excellent and very comprehensive, with plenty of complimentary snacks and even a DIY hot spring egg experience. Both dinner and breakfast were incredibly generous and varied, with ample choices. Plus, there are over 10 different hot spring baths to choose from – a truly wonderful experience!

It was pretty good overall. The room had a slight tatami smell, but everything else seemed to have been recently renovated. The public baths were really nice, there are three of them, and you can even switch between them in the morning and evening to experience different hot springs.

It was absolutely perfect, very well located, and the facilities were excellent. The three onsens (hot springs) were also great. I would definitely go back without hesitation!

The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the station. They also provide luggage storage and a shuttle to Yunokuni no Mori the next day, which is very convenient. The hotel itself is spacious and clean, and the bed in my room was very comfortable. They also offer various free experiences. The only minor downsides were that it's a bit of a walk to Ko-so-yu, and unfortunately, the room type I booked didn't allow for adding breakfast or dinner.
