Visiting Chikan, I chose to stay at Qiao Xiao Guan. The courtyard's design is elegant, with photo-worthy spots everywhere. The guest rooms are in a Nanyang style, perfectly matching the characteristics of an overseas Chinese town. I opted for a room with a balcony, so I could relax outside with tea and enjoy the view in the evening. The hotel was very clean, and the facilities were comprehensive. The staff were warm and attentive, promptly responding to any requests. The location is also super close to the attractions, and it offers great value for money.

Staying at Qiao Xiaoguan was such a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff, especially the lady at check-in/check-out, was incredibly efficient, so there was no waiting. Their service was excellent and enthusiastic, and they responded promptly to any requests. The room itself was spotlessly clean with no strange odors. The bathroom had a good wet/dry separation, and the facilities were very comprehensive, including smart home features throughout. The bed was super comfortable, and the soundproofing was decent. The location is great, just a five or six-minute drive from the attractions. There was plenty of hot water, and the front desk even had Qipaos available for guests to take photos within the hotel! The amenities are very complete, with a breakfast restaurant, gym, and coffee bar. The buffet breakfast was also abundant. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The room was very clean, free of any unpleasant odors, and had great natural light. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a quiet and restful night's sleep. The front desk staff were friendly, and the location was super convenient for dining, drinking, and getting around. There are plenty of food options all along the street nearby. It's also very close to Chikan Ancient Town, making this hotel the best choice if you prefer not to stay inside the town itself. Overall, the experience was great, offering excellent value for money. Highly recommended! Chikan is definitely worth a visit!

Arrived at 2 AM, and the staff service was okay. However, the room was incredibly stinky. It was so bad that we had to open the door and windows to air it out before we could even think about sleeping. We were too exhausted to bother asking for a room change. I suspect the sewer system in that location is inherently smelly, perhaps due to recent renovations. The cleanliness was acceptable, but there were hardly any facilities, making it unsuitable for families with children. It's fine for just a quick rest, but the room odor was intolerable, even for my child. We barely managed to get some sleep. Breakfast was mediocre. Given the price I paid wasn't high, I decided not to complain too much.

Staying outside the scenic area is also a good option. The decor and facilities are decent. It's a 20-minute walk from the west gate of the scenic area, so you can walk back if you can't find a taxi at night. You can also take photos in the hotel while wearing a Qipao; it's a nice escape from the heat outside. It would be perfect if the air conditioning could be a bit colder, as it's slightly not cool enough.

The room was much larger and more spacious than it appeared in the photos. The environment was lovely, and everything was very clean and tidy. The facilities were also excellent, and the service was great. I couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV, and the front desk staff came up to help me right away. It's also quite close to Chikan Ancient Town, and getting a taxi is very convenient.

My stay at Qiao Xiaoguan was fantastic. The room facilities were complete and well-maintained. The staff were warm, polite, and attentive, responding promptly to all my needs. The overall environment was very quiet, and the room was spacious and airy with a stylish decor. The staircase also had a unique character. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chikan.

We booked three rooms, and the hotel gave us three soup vouchers. I confirmed with the staff that they could be used, but after checking out, I was told they were for specific soups that couldn't be redeemed at that time. The voucher didn't specify this, which led to us overpaying by 84 yuan. The breakfast selection was very limited, just enough to fill you up. There was only one staff member in the restaurant, and no service whatsoever. The hotel has charging stations, but none of them were working.

Overall, it's a great place. The decor features unique elements like watchtowers and green bricks, while the hotel itself has nostalgic items such as waterwheels and old televisions. The rooms have a distinct Nanyang and Republic of China era style, and they're quite spacious, perfect for taking photos in a qipao. We even received pomelos and egg yolk pastries as a Mid-Autumn Festival gift. The hotel is located just outside the Chikan Ancient Town scenic area, so it's a bit cheaper. If you're not planning on taking a lot of photos inside the scenic area and don't need unlimited two-day access, I highly recommend staying here.
