We have had our first week at this hotel. We had a great relaxing time. The staff are all very friendly & more than helpful. The breakfasts are very enjoyable. The pool area is great with plenty of sun beds. The room we were in 218 needs the shower updating the shower curtain needs to be removed & replaced with a glass screen on the outside of the drain. The management surprise me,no UK tour operators now list this hotel making it very expensive uk citizens to travel. If a uk tour operator was used we could travel with our cases & transfer to the hotel included in the price. Without the operator we have to pay the extra costs involved.

A quiet location and only a brief walk to the busy village center. Has a wonderful large pool as well as chairs on the beach. Awesome breakfast included and a delightful staff. Our family enjoyed our trip to Lesvos and we look forward to returning to Kalloni Bay next year.

Have stayed here a few times before and still no updates. Breakfast fine but simple. Rooms could be painted and cleaned better. Some of the towels must be the originals from when the hotel was built. Outside chair in balcony and round pool uncomfortable.

First, kind thanks to Chris and Elleni, the afternoon shift front desk staff people. They were super helpful to me in arranging my program. I came at the end of the bird migration with a focus on bird watching. I hope the new owner will take the comments into consideration for the 2023 spring/summer season. This hotel is typical of the 1990s 'Greek family hotel' for summer holiday at the sea experience. It needs upgrading. When a rate is quoted to a guest, honor it. My 40 euro/night went up to 50 then 55 euro. Granted, the rate is low but changing rates not good practice. Provide hot water in the rooms and showers for afternoon and evening hot (not lukewarm) showers. Upgrade the showers and get rid of the cheap plastic shower curtains. Upgrade the room fridges to quiet modern small fridges. Provide proper mattress toppers on the rock hard single beds pushed together for a bigger bed. I was given two small foam things that were probably lounge chair cushions. The rock hard mattress is not good for older people. Provide pillows that are not rock hard or totally worn out. Provide coffee and biscuits for the birders in the spring and fall migration (turn on the coffee machine and put out some biscuits around 6:30 am). Provide the 'bird location update board' in the fall as well as spring. Upgrade the plumbing and drainage in the bathrooms. Ask the dog owners next door to put the yapping dog into a kennel for the night (impossible I know, but worth consideration as the dog barks all night). Consider having the kitchen provide fresh cooked eggs 'on demand' not just fried eggs cooked and sitting for hours or cold hard boiled eggs. Also have some 'gluten free' options for baked goods. This may mean buying them, freezing them and offering them to a guest upon request. Have the artisan bakery bread cut in the kitchen. Guests did not understand how to hold the napkin on the bread to cut it so everyone's dirty hands were on the bread.

Visited in June this year. Very professional friendly helpful staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Nice breakfast. Very peaceful with beach across the road and the village 10 minutes stroll away. We will return. Thank you.

This was our fourth visit to this hotel, the last time being 9 years ago and yet again we weren't disappointed This hotel is just absolutely perfect. The rooms are typically Greek, so all the basics are there - fridge, Aircon, safety deposit box and TV, we had 2 wardrobes and plenty of drawers for storage. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, the room was serviced every day with a good system for towels, when you want clean ones, leave your dirty ones on the floor, otherwise hang them on the rail if you are happy to use them again always plenty of hot water available. The breakfast has lots of choice and lovely fresh Greek bread help yourself to hot drinks. The location is perfect, a short walk into the village, it overlooks the beach and has beautiful gardens, plenty of room for parking if you have hired a car I only have one observation to make, and that is the price of beer in the bar, they were charging 5 euros for a bottle of beer or for a pint of draught lager, whereas in the village the prices were around the 3.50 euros mark, quite a difference and it is possibly why the bar always seemed very quiet in the evenings when we arrived back. In my eyes, the hotel is still worthy of a 5 star review, we will definitely be going back Last but definitely not least, the staff are brilliant, everyone is so friendly and helpful, some remembered us from our previous stay 9 years ago!

It was our first time in Lesvos and we couldn't have chosen better, both the resort of Skala Kallonis and the hotel. Rooms were basic but clean, the led lights behind the headboard gave a nice modern touch to the room. We requested a large balcony and were given a huge terrace shared by 3 rooms but each having a private area too. We had views of both garden and sea so the best of both worlds. The breakfast area was lovely and the breakfast though typically Greek was very good and plentiful. We loved the pool area, the pool is huge and very clean. There was only one day we were unable to get a sunbed so literally crossed the road to the beach and spent a few hours on their free sunbeds with the most amazing breeze to keep us cool. We had a couple of snacks from the poolside bar which we thought were very good and reasonably priced. There was no inside bar open and the pool bar shut at 11pm, which was fine by us, perfect for a quick drink on returning from our evening meal before retiring to our balcony. It was never busy but Peter the barman kept us entertained. Skala Kallonis was very pretty and there were enough tavernas/restaurants to give choice of where to eat. There was also a couple of small mini markets, a pharmacy and an ATM. We would definitely return at some point.

Quietly located, close to the beach. Super friendly staff. Only downside are the showers in the room. Within walking distance of cozy restaurants and Ouzerias. No crowds, great to rest. The hotel is located on a bay and not on the open sea.
