Beautiful 大雪 area with sulfur smelling natural onsen water. Nice outdoor onsen, fireplace, lounge area for free drinks including sake, beer, wine, gelato, soft serve ice cream, good finger foods. The unrenovated areas are old looking. There are many tour groups each day and dinner time especially feels very crowded as if you are a member of their tour group. Not a very pleasant experience but food quite ok. In terms of service, all the female staff were helpful and friendly especially the female supervisor at the check in counter, she was helpful and very dedicated. However I had an unpleasant experience with a male supervisor when checking in, very unfriendly, told me no kettle in room can be provided while later I found out there are kettles. It made the overall experience very negative and the tone of voice was very unpleasant. Maybe he is overworked so I didn't take it personally but this kind of service is very unusual in Japan or anywhere in the world at this level of accommodation. Not sure if will go back again or recommend to family or friends.

Very beautiful

Very stylish hotel. Is newly renovated. I was a bit worried about some comments that said that only lobby is new and rooms are old and smelly. At least in our case the room was new , modern, spacious with awesome look to the mountain, river and sunrise.  Onsen is big, an outdoor area is my love, as you can breathe fresh air and enjoy the warmth of the water. Also the hair oil before drying hair was so good. Totally delicious food, amazing dish selection, rich palette of variant tastes. Suitable for all culinary preferences. Definitely recommend to take both breakfast and dinner. Though hotel is pricey, but it was worth it!!!

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the private hot spring bath was a real treat! The hotel boasts excellent facilities, with plenty for guests to explore. The buffet restaurant features play areas and a great selection of kid-friendly food, so the children had a blast while adults could enjoy their meal in peace. The only minor issue was that the air conditioning wasn't quite cold enough, and we had to rely on the provided fan to stay cool.

The room was comfortable. The buffet was fine, but there hadn't been any clear sign of the restaurant's location. We asked one of the reception, I believed he hate Chinese, was very impolite to us. He was a little bit fat and wearing glasses.

Stayed here in 2023 Nov.. came back with my parents as I love the hotel. Good breakfast & dinner spread. Love the lounge too

Very poor maintained property. Things are outdated. Shower head and facets are  too old and not working properly. Front desk people were not attentive and lack of communication skill. Windows were rusted and unable to get fresh air. AC doesn’t work properly..

It's a bit downhill from the bus stop so it's a bit exhausting if you have to drag your suitcase in the snow. It's very close to the ice festival though. Service was exceptional. The staff was helpful and friendly, many staff knowing Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and English were very helpful to international visitors. Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. The room was big and comfortable, the onsen bath was nice too.

We enjoyed our stay there. Like the breakfast n dinner buffet spread. Staff are very hospitable. We saw deers near the entrance of our hotel. That's a nice surprise 😊
