Do not even think about staying here it’s absolutely disgusting and vile, not worth the money whatsoever I went here as a school trip and have never been as traumatised in my whole entire 16 years of living. The disrespect from staff when we refused to eat their VILE meals was absolutely shocking. When u lay in the bed it felt like u may aswell off been laying on the floor the pillows were flat as anything and we couldn’t get an ounce of water while we were all in our rooms parching as early as 8 o’clock in the night. This place is absolutely terrible no body should be put through this deadbeat of a hotel. This meter stick individual tried telling us what and what not to eat and did nothing but sigh at us whenever we asked anything. Anyways stay safe everyone and do yourself a favour by not staying here x

I came here on my school trip with a group of 30 students and 5 of our teachers, After a long day of travelling and exploring different places I was looking forward to a nice stay in the “hotel”, but I thought wrong… As we arrived, it looked like a nice building from the outside with a nice looking resturant but don’t be fooled by the exterior. When I walked inside, there was a very strange smell, as I walked up the stairs I was welcomed to a ancient door off its hinges resting against a wall and beside it was a room with mattresses and plastic bags filled with unused duvets. The rooms weren’t very clean and my eyes hurt when I seen the design of the bedding and wallpaper, there was 4 beds squished in the room with barely any space to walk in the room. The “pillows” weren’t anything like a normal pillow, it was more like a pillow case with a few balls of fluff in it. When I turned the shower on it kept switching from really hot to really cold and There was water leaking out onto the bathroom floor. I was hoping the towels would be ok, but I thought wrong, they were extremely rough and It felt like they had been used for many, many years, they were also very small, more like tea towels. We were all very hungry, so when we went down to the kitchen to eat our evening meal, we weren’t welcomed by any of the staff. We were being served “onion soup” for starters, as I politely declined the “onion soup” one of the staff members serving it to us gave me a dirty look and grunted at me. The “onion soup’ was more like warm water & oil with chunks of onions in it. I was hoping the “chicken nuggets and chips” would be better, but it wasn’t. The “chips” were oily hashbrowns and the chicken nuggets were burnt and rubbery. The vegerterian option was a bowl of lettuce and hashbrowns. The food was simply non-edible. After this, our teachers bought us takeaway food instead. At 10’ O clock, they locked the kitchen, meaning there was no where to get a glass of water and their vending machine was broken. Outside there was a nice patio area with a table tennis table, this is where we spent most of our time. If we needed to go to the bathroom while downstairs, then we would have to walk up stairs to use the bathroom in our room, as there was no where to go toilet downstairs. In my opinion this is NOT a hotel, due to their lack of simple facilities and hygeine. I would not recommened staying here!!

We went here for a 3 night stay, with a group of 30 students and 5 teachers, We arrived after a long day of travelling. When we arrived at the hotel, we were excited as it looked nice from the outside with a welcoming looking restaurant but... When we walked into the hotel there was a horrible smell. When we walked up the stairs to our room, in the hallway we were welcomed by a ancient door off its hinges resting against a wall, beside it was a room full of mattresses and bags of unused duvets on display to everyone. When we walked into our 'Hotel' room there was a weird smell and the room didn't seem to be quite clean. The room had 4 beds squished in it with barely any walking space to get around. The shower switched between really hot and really cold every few seconds, when I turned on the water, it leaked out onto the bathroom floor, I was nervous Incase I would be swimming instead of sleeping. Don't even get me started on the food. On our first night we were all pretty hungry and couldn't wait to eat. When we entered the dining room it wasn't very welcoming at all. After a few minutes the first meal came out with grunty grunty woman grunted at us when we politely declined her "onion soup" which was only chopped onioins with water. Our second meal was very disapointing we all thought you couldn't mess up chicken nuggets but apparently you can the nuggets were burnt and raw at the same time don't even know how that's possible. Our "chips/hash browns" we really didn't know what they were. When we asked about a vegetarian option and the grunty grunty said lettuce. After nobody ate the food the teachers went out and got us pizza's and chips and we ate outside on the patio that's were we spent most of our time. At night the hotel staff would lock the kitchen and we weren't able to get a drink if we needed one and the was a vending machine that didn't work so we had no drinks during the nights we stayed here. The staff were't very welcoming not once did we get a hello or a thank you. They got us stuff if we needed it. On our last night the staff were very hostile and rude. Overall it was not a good hotel experience and you just shouldn't stay here AT ALL!!!.

I stayed here for 3 nights on a school trip with 30 students and 5 teachers . The first night we were tired after a long day of travelling and couldn't wait to get into our hotel and we were all very hungry and couldn't wait to get some food .The staff were not very welcoming and didn't have much English . We were served 'onion soup' which was more like water with chopped onion . The staff were not happy when we kindly declined the soup and literally snatched the plates off us .Then we were served 'chips/hashbrowns and nuggets' which were really dry and burnt and were not edible. . After that our teachers had to go somewhere else and buy food for everyone which we had to eat outside as they use to lock the kitchen which meant we couldn't get water or any drinks and had to go up lots of stairs to our bedroom to use the toilet .Breakfast was a bit better but not great . They had cereal, toast, fruit but not much of it . The toaster took forever to toast the bread. Our rooms were very small and we didn't have much room .There were 4 beds in our room and not much walking space. The tv's in our room didn't turn on . The pillow was flat and had to be folded many times for comfort . The smell of the room was like it hadn't be cleaned properly in a very long time. The shower was cold most of the time and leaked on the floor which made it very slippery. The towels were rough and hard and didn't dry anything . The toilets were stained and were not very clean at all .There was a door off its hinges at the top of the stairs which had old mattresses and was not very pleasant. The area outside was actually lovely and was were we spent most of our time when we were in the hotel. The hotel in located about a 2 hour drive from any city or things to do. The last night we brought back our own food as we could not eat the food that they provided and the staff were not happy about this at all. We had a horrible experience and was very disappointed with the hotel. Do not stay here

We went on a school trip in a group of 30. After a long day of travelling we finally arrived at the hotel and as we went up the stair and walked down the corridor to our rooms we could see an open storage room with old yellow mattresses and the door was proped up on the wall were it could have easily fallen on someone. When we went into our rooms we found 3 beds and 1 pull out bed, on these said beds was a thin uncomfortable duvet and a "pillow" stuffed with little cotton, which most of us resorted to having to fold in half. They didn't have enough plugs in the room for all of us to charge our phone which means I had to resort to charging mine in the bathroom. When we turned on the TV we were shocked to see some very inappropriate content on it, definely not suited to children. The window opened out very wide which ment one of us could have fallen out if we leaned so this is definitely not suited for kids. When one of us took a shower the room was musty for the rest of the day and night leaving it unbearable with the already bad smell for us to sleep, the "towels" were a weird texture leaving it hard for any of us to dry ourselves because they pushed all the water around our bodies When we went downstairs to get dinner the served "onion soup" which to my understanding was onion water and oil in a bowl. The person I'm assuming was the owner grunted at all of us as we said "thank you" or "no thank you". Due to this we had to resort to spending more money going into restraunts to get food. For breakfast we were given toast and cereal, there was barely enough cereal to give to everyone and there was only one 2 slice toaster which ment that we had to wait for 20 minutes to get one measly slice of toast. There was barely any customer service and was not even a cheak in desk. With the foul smell much of us had to stay outside because we could not bare staying up in the room. For my final words DONT GO HERE!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights as a teacher of 30 students. As a very well travelled individual I can safely say that the staff were the rudest I have ever encountered, not a single smile or greeting. This is not a hotel and there is no reception or zero customer service. It is simply a restaurant with "rooms".The staff are miserably unhappy and got very confrontational and aggressive when we refused to eat the disgusting "meals" they provided for the large group of students we had staying with us here.We could not eat the onion and water "soup" the rubbery burned chicken nuggets or the vegetarian option of deep fried oily vegetables. This hotel is linked to a tour company and is purely a money making scam. The room hygene is filthy with hairs and stains and pungent odours from previous guests. With so much dust and dirt it is doubtful that the room is cleaned between guests. The bed linen was musty smelling and the pillows were half filled with a few balls of loose stuffing, hardly what a normal person would describe as a pillow. The towels had holes in them and were such an odd texture they didn't absorb any water but just pushed the water around your body instead.I am not very up to date on the Environmental Health laws of Germany but certainly in Ireland this hotel would be closed down by officials for heath and safety reasons. Many of the ceiling tiles in the bedrooms are made of highly flammable polystyrene and the windows opened so wide like a door they were certainly not safe for children or adults. The tacky, dated and very tired decor could easily be forgiven if it was clean and if the staff showed an ounce of respect for their customers.I am sorry to say that I have to dig very deep to find any positive features of this hotel. The outdoor space including the patio and the physical location ovelooking the Rhine are very pleasant. The toilet flushed and the shower stayed warm for about a minute.Don't be fooled by the front appearance of the hotel and the smell of pizzas and normal food,we were not treated to any such luxuries. They have a large soulless room out the back of the hotel where they serve cheap and horrible meals to any groups staying here.On one floor there was a store room door off the hinges left propped up against the wall leaving an open store room of old mattresses and duvets on view to all. Final words:DO NOT STAY HERE.

After getting lost trying to find the place we finally arrived at this "hotel" but it's more like a hostel. We got into our 4 person bed room with just 4 beds and barely any walking space. The towels in our bathroom were so old and used so much they were rough and wouldnt dry you after your shower. The TV in our room wouldnt even turn on. We were given onion soup as a starter but it was more like water with onion in it. We requested chicken nuggets and chips, we were given what we think were uncooked hash browns. One of our teachers were a vegan and when he asked what was the vegan option this rude woman just pointed at a bowl of lettuce which was a side for the chicken and said "lettuce". This woman took my plate of me and threw the food onto it and grunted at me when I said "danke". After our food the first night our teachers refused to let us eat there again. They brought us to restaurants and bought food in shops even though we paid them for proper food. The staff had barely any English, but helped where they could. The only place in the hotel where there was a toilet was was the canteen which was locked when we weren't using it, we had to walk 3 flights of stairs and use the bathroom in our rooms. There was no where to get a drink of water. We would rather sit outside on the seats all night instead of going to our rooms and getting sleep. The hotel in located about a 2 hour drive from any proper city or things to do. We had a horrible stay here and would not recommend to anybody.

The room we stayed in was luxurious with really nice bedding and pillows! We stayed in a room that bedded five, the bathroom was spacious with a jacuzzi tub and the room was comfortable fitting us all! Lovely overall.

A group of 60 of us stayed here for a school trip. I wouldn’t call this place a ‘hotel’ , a B&B more like. We arrived & got keys the room I was staying in was quite small with 4 beds poked into the room, the room was very small with barley room to walk. The shower water was cold & would only go hot for a few seconds. We were only provided with one towel each for the whole stay, the towels we got were more like hand towels that would not even go round you, so very hard to dry yourself. The pillows were like big sacks filled with bunny foam which were quite uncomfortable. There is no lift facility here either, you had to walk 3 flights of stairs to get up to some of the rooms. The food was atrocious which none of us could eat so we had to spend more money to buy food in the local chipper when dinner was included in the price. On one occasion we were given “onion soup”, basically onions in water. The workers barely spoke English either. The cutlery was dirty as-well. The worker in the bar scoffed & wasn’t very welcoming when you would ask for something. Also they don’t take card payments! One day we came back to the hotel it was locked & no way to get in. Very unprofessional & I usually am not fussy, never had to write a bad review on somewhere but this place was an awful stay. Wouldn’t Recommend.
