For $30 I guess I expected more. The staff are rarely at the front desk and had little to no communication with me. I understood that I arrived late around 8PM so there’s reasonably staff who aren’t there but I had to go find them myself. When I went to check out in the morning she wasn’t there again.
Now for the room itself - it wasn’t the best, the hygiene is definitely questionable, I found some stains on the curtains, didn’t really bother checking the mattresses because I did NOT want to find out what was there.
The bathroom itself was atrocious, there’s no shelves for shampoos or bath gels (which they also didn’t include they just put in a few little soap bars), there’s no TV, no hair dryers, no drinks, no refrigerator. There’s only 2 different outlets in the room and both were inconvenient because my charger kept falling out of the socket. To add, the AC broke in my room it kept switching on and off.
The location is decent since it is closer to the center of the city, but the people staying there had no regard for other people hence, the loud talking, the dogs fighting and splashing of the swimming pool kept me up till 12AM and at 7AM in the morning they woke me up as they were out and about again, the location doesn’t suffice any of this.
I wish I had some good points to add here but unfortunately it’s very difficult to do so. I think this ‘resort’ was more of a motel room with a big fancy pool. I would choose to skip this hotel if I were to come back to Kampot.
