Sokchea Kampot Hotel

I costed me $38 and I stayed here for a night. I came here as a solo traveler and booked a double room with balcony. There was a big pool on the first floor. The location of the hotel was decent, although the road to the hotel was pretty rocky and deserted, kind of in the middle of nowhere and I’m unsure of how safe it is during the night seeing as there’s not many lamp posts. The room is great and spacious. The bathroom was spacious and the room was nicely decorated. You can watch YouTube on the TV but like most hotels the smart TV doesn’t really work properly so Netflix didn’t work. The amenities they offered were enough, they provided a refrigerator, hair dryer and all the other necessities that a standard hotel would provided. Although the bathroom would flood due to how far the drain was from the shower head, you can just move the shower head closer to the drain so it would not flood the whole bathroom. Everything was clean. But there was a minor mosquito problem when I woke up in the morning. Bathroom door lock doesn’t really work properly, butyou just have to pull it a bit harder. The service was great, the staff were helpful and communicative. I got an avocado toast and milk coffee for brunch at the restaurant, it was good. I would come back here when I return to Kampot!

I stayed four nights at Sokchea Kampot Hotel in Kampot. This wasn’t my first time — last year I stayed 10 nights and had a good experience. Unfortunately, this visit felt different. On my first day, after checking in around 3pm and going out for dinner, I returned to find a cockroach walking on my bed — bigger than I would ever want to see. Staff removed it, but it was hard to relax that night. The next day I asked for the sheets to be changed. They only made the bed, and the same stain was still there. After asking a second time and explaining why, they finally replaced them. That same day, there was no proper housekeeping. The bathroom trash was not emptied, and I had to ask for toilet paper as it wasn’t replaced. For a hotel of this type, I don’t think that’s acceptable. There is also construction next to the hotel, with loud noise from 8am to 5pm, making it less relaxing — especially when trying to enjoy the pool, which is probably the hotel’s main positive point

A stunning hotel for solo, couple or even families. The staff are so kind and helpful, the rooms are MASSIVE, clean and beds are super comfortable. Unfortunately the only thing that was a bit annoying was the construction happening during our stay but once that’s done this place will be 100/10 honestly. Perfect location, quite yet not far from the centre! When I come back, I’m staying here again 🙌🏼

I have booked for mountain view rooms, for a family of five (two double beds in one room and one double bed in one room). The reason booking this room is when I booked two rooms last time, and asked for extra bed, there was no proper extra bed/not even a proper blanket for extra bed even though they charge for the extra bed. Plus points: Room two spacious and clean. The staffs are helpful. What I didnt like: the coffee mix only (+) for 4 persons and slippers only 2 pairs for 6 pax room. And only one bathroom/toilet for 6 pax is also not very much convenient. The contruction (+) just beside our room (but believe there may not be for our next time visit). But overall, we really love the place, the room, the space and cleanliness. I will come stay again. 😊

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, making for a relaxing atmosphere. The food served was delicious with a great variety to choose from. What stood out the most was the staff—they were incredibly helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free experience.

Nice hotel. Out of the way but can walk into town.

It was a wonderful place to spend a holiday. The rooms are clean and the amenities are sanitary. I am thankful for the recommendation.
