Tokyu Stay Kanazawa

The hotel room was a good size, and the location was within walking distance to all the major attractions, which are quite concentrated in Kanazawa anyway. The hotel breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the taste was decent. A nice touch was the free coffee available in the lobby all day.

The hotel's location is excellent, right between Omicho Market and Korinbo, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Plus, it's right next to the Daimaru department store. The hotel itself is very new, with spacious rooms and modern facilities. The staff are very welcoming, and it seems like most of the guests are Westerners.

This hotel was the best one throughout our trip. Having visited Kanazawa before, I knew all their hotels are basically on the same street, making the location extremely convenient for attractions and well-situated. So, I didn't choose the usual hotel but picked this one which seemed like a good value for money. And the check-in experience was absolutely perfect. It's been a while since I've experienced Japanese-style service, and their service here was quite good. Although it's not a traditional ryokan 'okami' service (where they unpack your bags), all their staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. The hotel is directly opposite Oyama Shrine, and you can walk through to Gyokusen-en Garden. We spent about 20 minutes exploring it in the morning. However, one thing to note is that linen changes and bathroom cleaning are subject to an additional charge. This might be something to consider for longer stays, but since we were only there for two days, it wasn't an issue. We booked a room with some basic kitchen utensils, so we were able to buy ingredients from the supermarket and make sukiyaki, which helped us balance our diet during the trip. The hotel is also very close to Omicho Market, making it convenient to buy fresh seafood and other groceries. For those on a shorter trip, cooking might not be necessary. Also, the hotel is quite new, and the room wasn't small, so it was very comfortable.

Centrally located in Kanazawa, about a 7-8 minute walk from the main commercial area, and surrounded by convenience stores. The hotel seems quite popular and often fully booked. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the design is very well-thought-out and practical. The hotel offers air conditioning for heating, and the shower in the room is excellent with strong water pressure, making it very comfortable to use. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was great. The environment was quiet and comfortable, and the decor felt quite new, making for a very relaxing stay. The room itself was clean and tidy, with complete amenities. Having a washing machine and microwave was really practical, especially for a multi-day stay. The location was also good, making it convenient to get to attractions and restaurants. The front desk staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with. All in all, it offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended for anyone visiting Kanazawa.

Unbeatable value for money! During the Chinese New Year, getting a 30-square-meter room with breakfast in the heart of Kanazawa for around 600 yuan a night was an amazing surprise. The room easily fit three beds, so a family of three didn't feel cramped at all. The bathroom facilities, including Refa and Toto, were incredibly comfortable.

The cleanliness wasn't as good as the hotel I stayed in the night before, but it was generally tidy and clean. The best surprise was that the front desk could provide a full set of kitchen utensils, so I could cook in the room, which was very practical and convenient – a definite bonus.
