Cassendra Hotel Kandy

For those traveling to Kandy, I highly recommend Cassendra Hotel Kandy! It offers great value for money! The breakfast is delicious, the room facilities are clean, bright, and comfortable, the staff is very enthusiastic, and the hotel is located on a hill with a wide view. When I booked Cassendra Hotel Kandy, the information on a certain platform was very inaccurate, which led to me needing to cancel and rebook through a different platform. The staff at Cassendra Hotel Kandy provided a lot of help during this process. I will definitely choose Cassendra Hotel Kandy again when I visit Kandy next time!

Overall, the value for money is excellent. The hotel is situated on a hill near the Kandy viewpoint, making it very convenient to get around by tuk-tuk. The views and environment are also great, and the room is quite spacious. The buffet breakfast is simple but delicious, offering both Sri Lankan and Western options. The service is superb. The only minor drawback is that the hot water in the room is very unstable, but this seems to be a common issue in Sri Lankan hotels.

Cassendra Hotel Kandy is a hill-top hotel in Kandy with excellent service. However, it can be a bit challenging to get up there without a car. It happened to be the 16th of August that night, and the moon was incredibly clear. The hotel is budget-friendly, so if you're looking for a hill-top stay, you might want to give it a try.

Extremely clean hotel. Impeccable service. Very comfortable rooms. Dilrukshi provided excellent service and helped us with our stay in Kandy. The best accommodation of our trip to Sri Lanka!

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was very spacious with a huge bed and a balcony perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset. It's only 1.5 km from downtown. We happened to be there during the Esala Perahera (Festival of the Tooth), so we walked to an area near the temple in the afternoon to stake out a spot for the parade. Walking back to the hotel after the event helped us avoid traffic. A big thank you to the lovely front desk staff, Dilrukshi, for her patient service! The breakfast offered both English and Indian options, both of which were good. Highly recommend!

The views are fantastic, and the service is excellent. It's also not far from the city center. The only downside is that breakfast isn't a buffet; they said there weren't many guests, so it was à la carte, with options for a Sri Lankan or Western breakfast.
