Nature view and pool is superb Iron box was broken Curtains were damaged but other than that all were good

The hotel has history, is by the river, and has a great view! The facilities are a bit old, but the rooms are big! The service is good! Very good! Enthusiastic and professional! Any promise will be fulfilled without compromise!

Everything is good, the service attitude is very good. But the air conditioner in the room is noisy

The old five-star hotel is located on the Mahaweli River, the mother river of Sri Lanka. It is a must-have hotel for Kandy people to get married. The British service standard is very good. Compared with other Sri Lankan hotels, the check-in and check-out are very fast. The software service makes up for the old facilities deficiencies, it is recommended

Great hotel in a fab location with superb staff. Couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful lunch here with our group form all over the US. Indika, Nadeesha and Hashen were excellent hosts and took good care of us.

The property is an amazing balance of luxury and aesthetics! However the real shine is the hotel staff! They showed excellent poise, efficiency and effectiveness even when the city of Kandy was facing the largest natural disaster in memory! The cyclone Ditwah pummelled the area with rain and flood! These people were on duty for more than 48 hours! Yet they served with a smile! There was no mobile and data service in the entire region! Yet one guy's mobitel network was operational. Nadeera generously offered hot spot to all the guests in distress! I could see others in bad health due to exhaustion but grinding on with a smile! I would salute the dedicated people! I am sure when ever I return, I am choosing this hotel only!

Enjoyed a very relaxing couple of nights in a gorgeous riverside hotel with beautiful flowers and pool setting. Large rooms with comfortable beds and deep tub with lots of hot water to soak in. Romantic indoor and outdoor dining area with live music. Buffet was huge with great variety and awesome desserts!! Service was great at the bar and dining room. Special mention of dining room manager Nathan, and servers Devi and Nadeesha at breakfast and dinner.

We had an excellent and mind blowing experience with the food at Maheveli!! Especially great food from Mr. Dhirendra, the main Chef!! Special cuisines, very tasty and mouth watering!!

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location on the river. Our room was very spacious , clean and very comfortable. Food was excellent with a good choice. The staff were lovely, friendly and very attentive. Would definitely return when in Sri Lanka.
