The room was quite spacious, but the decor was a bit dated, and there were large cracks on the tiles. In terms of location, it's within walking distance to Yanchengpu Station, and very convenient for attending concerts at the Kaohsiung Pop Music Center, about a 15-18 minute walk, or a taxi ride for around 100 NTD. There's also a 7-11 and breakfast shops nearby. The lighting in the room was really dim, and the bathroom was also dark – nowhere to properly do my makeup!😅 They provided instant noodles upon check-in, and I initially thought they'd replenish them daily, but I found out that it's only given on the first day, regardless of how many nights you stay.

珍鸭is just beside the hotel. Many eating places nearby. Subway station (Yanchengpu) is about 9 mins walk from the hotel. Light rail station is also nearby.

The furniture arrangement inside wasn't ideal. Since they only provided one key card, if you left for a while and came back, the bathroom would have a sewer-like smell.

The air conditioning was fairly quiet, and the room was spacious. However, the mattress wasn't pocket sprung, so every time the person next to me moved, I felt it. There was a slight musty smell in the public hallway, and the breakfast was just average; the milk tasted like a plant-based alternative. Parking on holidays costs an additional 300 NTD, and it's inconvenient to have to get out of the car and notify staff every time you enter or exit.

Front desk lady is very helpful. Location is good. Just feel like the motel vibe.

The hotel was a lot grander than the price might suggest. The service from front desk was excellent, including a souvenir for staying with them. The room was clean with huge amounts of space, a big bathroom with good hot water pressure and a heated toilet seat/bidet.

The hotel is very comfy. They provide instant noodles as well.

It was fairly clean, but it was a pity there weren't any toothbrushes or cotton swabs. Luckily, I brought my own. The TV was small with few channels, but the picture quality was okay.

For hotels priced similarly, the only thing that needs improvement is the hygiene; the room rates are fine. However, please note that there's an extra $300 charge for parking on holidays!

When I come to Kaohsiung, my first choice is usually Xiayou because it has an extra parking lot, which is very convenient for me. However, what I am not satisfied with this time is that I saw ants as soon as I entered the room, which is unacceptable. I have stayed here many times, and this is the first time I have encountered such a problem. I hope the hotel will do more disinfection.
