Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort

Nice resort in a beautiful location with good amenities. However, when booking, only breakfast for two people is included, and you have to pay for the third. We interpreted the Trip.com confirmation to mean that the breakfast buffet for an extra person was free, but that wasn't the case. It wouldn't be an issue if you knew this beforehand, but I think if you book a room for three people, breakfast for three should be included. Considering breakfast at this hotel is quite expensive ($37 USD excluding tax per person per night), it adds up to a significant amount if you're staying multiple nights. Otherwise, it's a great resort and I would definitely recommend it! 😁

The room was old and run-down. Although there aren't many hotels on Kauai, this hotel had a musty smell.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, costing over 1000 RMB per night, anywhere in the world. 2000 RMB a night isn't cheap, so the service being this bad is unbelievable. The front desk staff were rude; they said the double room I booked was unavailable and gave me a twin room instead, but then put me in a damp corner room on the second floor with mosquitoes. They then hinted at a better sea-view room and asked for a tip, but sorry, the more they did that, the less likely they were to give a tip. The next day, when they came to clean, they only made one bed; the other was left untouched. The Wi-Fi was so slow it was almost unusable. The attitude of the hotel staff, from the front desk to all the other staff, was extremely unfriendly... This is truly the worst star-rated hotel I've ever stayed in.

We lived on the first floor, and every day there were all kinds of bugs, moths, cockroaches and other messy bugs flying in... The price booked on Ctrip was very cheap, but overseas hotels usually give the worst rooms... We stayed for three days and the cleaning was very perfunctory. But the hotel is in a good location, close to the airport, and the beach is also beautiful

The facilities are very old, probably because it is too close to the sea. The room is very damp, and the bedding is damp. There is a musty smell when you enter the room. I asked if there are dehumidification or drying facilities, but there are none. I asked if I could change to a less humid room, but I refused. The bed was very damp at night and it was very uncomfortable.

The pillow smelled musty. The location and beach were great.
