Del Mare Park

I've never experienced such a filthy and unsanitary hotel. In the photos, everything looks very neat and tidy. From the outside, it even looks quite luxurious. We viewed four rooms and changed rooms three times because they simply weren't clean and we kept finding something. There was a cockroach in the refrigerator (dirty refrigerators with stains and leaking liquid), there was something broken everywhere (whether the doors were smashed, broken toilet seats, no flush button, broken TV, loose makeup tables, broken light fixtures), the showers were moldy, the rooms smelled musty, and the sofas, carpets, towels, duvets, sheets, and pillows were all stained and smelly. We were constantly told that everything had been ordered and that they were working on it, but guests who come "out of season" aren't considered customers and should just accept that they're in a dilapidated building, because that's what it was. We're so happy to be back home!

Absolutely not recommended. Expensive, poor service; they don't speak Turkish or German. Despite our English skills, we weren't understood and ended up without a blanket. They didn't even provide ice cubes when we asked for them 😅 The minibar is ridiculously overpriced, you can hear a cell phone vibrating in the next room, and you can imagine the rest...

My room was missing some light bulbs and the shower facilities were old. One particularly dangerous thing was the broken glass on the balcony, which could have caused a child to fall. It was truly dangerous. It appears they're currently undergoing renovations, but I wish they'd prioritize safety for guest rooms. There seemed to be plenty of other rooms available, so it was disappointing that they didn't take that into consideration. (See photo) There were some good points, too. The staff were very friendly and easy to talk to, and they even lent me a phone charger. There was also a nice pool, although I didn't swim in it. The facilities are a really low mark. The staff are a high mark. That's all.

The hotel was close to the center of Girne, clean and nice. The staff, especially Mr. Ibrahim, were very helpful in every way. I would definitely recommend it.

Great hotel. Clean room. Beautiful pool. Bananas growing in the yard (delicious).

Wonderful place.
