Leonardo Hotel Karlsruhe Reviews

This hotel is barely worth 1-2 stars! The rooms are dirty and grimy, and many things in them don't work. Lights are broken, faucets and showers are heavily calcified, and the carpets are really disgusting. The staff doesn't bother to serve guests well; requests are only attended to after multiple inquiries, if at all. The rooms absolutely do not meet expectations, and while the pictures on the website are nice, they bear no resemblance to reality. The value for money is very poor. A message to the owners/shareholders: you can certainly keep collecting money and not renovate, repair, or refurbish anything, but eventually, this greedy attitude will catch up to you. It's a shame; next time we're in Karlsruhe, we'll steer clear of the Leonardo.

The Leonardo Hotel in Karlsruhe offers good value for the price. We were a bit disappointed upon arrival to find that despite booking a double bed, we were given two single beds instead. We were told by staff that a double bed was only a "wish" and not a guarantee. We couldn't easily push the beds together because of the fixed console in the middle. On the bright side, the location is quite convenient, just three tram stops from the city center, and the breakfast was both nice and reasonably priced. A word of caution for future guests: you may have the bad luck of checking in at the same time as a tour bus, leading to a lot of noise and screaming from teenagers in the hallways in the evenings and LONG checkin times. Overall, a decent and affordable option, but be prepared for potential noise and bed-related surprises.

Towards the end of my trip, I left some clothes and shoes here and totally forgot my beloved floral hair tie. So sad! Overall, the hotel was quite good, seemingly a corporate-rate hotel or similar. This was the most affordable night of my trip (I didn't book breakfast; if I had, it would probably be the second most affordable). Everything met my expectations, and the transportation was convenient.
