Kar's Hotel

Perfect small hotel in the right place of the city. Only 5 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes from the airport. I am a very frequently tabeller, and highly recommend this hotel for a couple of days in Kars. The breakfast and service is 5-star.

We spent two nights at this small gem of a hotel The room was very comfortable; the breakfasts were marvelous, and there are good dinner options only a few steps away.

Much enjoyed our 1 night stay at Kar's hotel. The room was very comfortable with beautiful view of the castle. Everything can be done by foot, going to town, the cheese shops, the restaurants and the castle. The hotel manager was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was very good

A great stay Perfect stay. I loved everything about Kars Oteli. The building is one of the few remaining old Russian mansions in Kars, my room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful long outside balcony. The bed was superb. The room had a fridge, kettle and coffee machine, also a cafetière. A good breakfast. Most of all Metin Bey was excellent, he found me a Turkish tour (museums, Ani, lake çıldır) for the next day, and helped with every query. He kindly packed me a good breakfast for the doğu ekspresi - lucky as there's no food on the train (only on the tourist one). I highly recommend staying here.

Very nice small hotel, perfect location, spacious room and good service.

This is a beautiful hotel located in a restored Russian era building. Most of the staff only speak Turkish but is adept at using Google Translate. Our stay was very comfortable. Kars is a quaint cosmopolitan city with Armenian churches, a Sejuk castle, Ottoman mosques and Russian era buildings. The hotel is very well located, tucked away at the end of city's main road. It is surrounded by great eating places and shops of honey and cheese. There is adequate night life in the area. We were able to watch Kafka dance one of the evenings. They serve a fantastic breakfast that allows sampling of local cheeses and honey. Kars is the place to buy cheese and honey. Ask the staff they helped us with this.
