Poor services and poor communication skills were trained for the front desk staff! Poor facilities and dirty, not recommended to stay if you have bad eye sight via you may go out after sunset, easy to get injure! Or better to buy enough insurance to stay there~

The hotel room was very clean and spacious, and they offer free private hot spring sessions, which is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The only downside is that the location is a bit far from public transportation, so I'd recommend driving or taking a taxi to get there.

Beautiful hotel with very good breakfast. Location is good but it is not easy for senior because no elevator and also not easy to pull the suitcase from parking to main building.

Karuizawa never disappoints those on a budget, but this 'half-board' (dinner and breakfast included) deal was a rip-off. They give you a 3000 yen credit per person for dinner, but the menu is ridiculously expensive, the ingredients aren't great, and the portions are tiny – you leave hungry. The most outrageous part was being charged 550 yen (for two sticks!) per person for breadsticks that weren't disclosed as chargeable upfront, nor were they clearly priced. We only found out at checkout. To make matters worse, the restaurant staff's English was very poor. One female receptionist was quite unfriendly. The wooden building, with its carpeted floors, felt old and not very clean. The room we booked was not the one we received; it was smaller, laid out differently, and felt cramped. We didn't have time to argue, so I have to leave a bad review to warn others. If I had known this beforehand, I definitely wouldn't have booked this place. The private onsen requires a reservation, limited to one 45-minute slot per room. Overall, it was expensive with a poor experience, quite disappointing.

Perfect for families, the kids absolutely loved the second floor of the log cabin and insisted on sleeping up there every night. The washing machine and dishwasher worked great. Booking the private onsen was super convenient using the dedicated tablet. The hotel also offers a 'no-housekeeping' coupon that can be exchanged for products at the gift shop. The staff recommended the Refa treatment, and it really is excellent.

This was my second time staying here, and I was still impressed by the facilities and the comfortable atmosphere. Overall, everything was great, except that the public microwave was quite dirty. I haven’t had a chance to try the breakfast or dinner yet, so I can’t comment on the taste, but the dining area always seemed crowded, which is usually a good sign. The outdoor bath (露天風呂) requires a reservation, and you need to arrive early to secure a time slot.

Good environment, is very chill here but location is abit far so we need to go by taxi. This area is abit hard to find food with walking area.

They kindly upgraded our room on the day of arrival! The location was super convenient for getting anywhere, and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the private bath, which had flexible hours. There was coffee and tea available at the front desk, which we took with us when checking out. It's a really great hotel!

Be careful that the actual room is not the same as trip shown. Everything is good but the room wasn’t my expected. Finally trip.com refunded me a certain amount, fair enough. Look at my photos, if you accept such a room paying this price, go for head, with free-spa, no complain. Just because it wasn’t what I wanted😂😂

I booked two rooms for two nights, but due to a system glitch, one of the rooms wasn't successfully booked. Trip.com customer service then recommended another hotel. However, the next day when we arrived at the new hotel, we still couldn't check in. All payments for both rooms had been made by 10:30 AM, so they should have been reserved for us. Yet, the hotel again cited a system error and said our rooms hadn't been held. They then told us to return to the first hotel, and it was already around 11 PM at that point. I was utterly frustrated by the whole situation. Despite all this, Trip.com's customer service was very responsive and helpful, thumbs up to them.
