The breakfast was delightful, and the staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. The afternoon tea was a lovely addition. The coffee was truly excellent.

For a Japanese hotel, the room was very spacious. It's also super convenient if you're driving, as there are two parking lots available. The breakfast buffet leans Japanese, but there are still plenty of options. Plus, there's a public bath on B1 where you can soak.

I really enjoyed my stay of one night due to (1) large hotel rooms of 50m2 (2) a large public bath area in the basement with onset-like facilities (3) free welcome drinks and coffee in the lobby cafe from 2-5pm everyday, very relaxing indeed (4) the Cantonese speaking lady at reception is polite and offers to call a taxi for us (5) one of the most comfy bed and quietest room I have ever had. Sleep very well indeed. Due to rainy weather, my family ordered dinner in the fine dining restaurant of 10ky yen per person. A bit pricey but perfect for the weather. I recommend this hotel for any family visitors. To make it perfect, I suggest the hotel to offer a shuttle bus to and from Karuizawa station, even if only one in the morning and one in the evening.

The hotel is a bit old, but the environment is great and the location is excellent. There's a big supermarket and a McDonald's nearby. It's only a 5-minute drive to the outlet, and many attractions are also very close.
