The hotel is conveniently located just about a 10-minute walk from Karuizawa JR Station. I believe the hotel has some history, as the facilities are a bit dated, but they are very clean and perfectly acceptable. We'd give the hotel's breakfast an A+! It was truly thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, and the service staff were incredibly kind and polite. We checked in quite late, around 8 PM, and the gentleman at the front desk was so patient and thorough in explaining everything to us in English. We're very grateful for his help. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money.

Clean, spacious, and comfortable. It's close to the main walking street with plenty of food, attractions, and shopping. However, there's no elevator for the second and third floors, so it's not recommended if you have heavy luggage.

This hotel in Karuizawa offers incredible value for money. The exterior is charming and inviting, and the rooms are spacious. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Karuizawa!

I stayed at the Old Karuizawa Hotel Shinonome. I loved the charming antique atmosphere and the very comfortable, peaceful space. The staff were incredibly kind and their thoughtful attention to detail was truly refreshing. The breakfast featured delicious dishes made with local ingredients, and it really helped me enjoy my stay in Karuizawa. The location is also convenient for sightseeing, making it a hotel I'd definitely want to stay at again.

The hotel is conveniently located near Karuizawa Shinkansen Station, about a 12-minute walk away. The surrounding area is very elegant with lush greenery, and the hotel facilities are comprehensive. Karuizawa is a beautiful and quiet town, easily accessible from Tokyo station with Hokuriku Shinkansen. The room is very spacious relative to Tokyo hotel room size. This hotel is not super near to the JR station but is acceptable for solo traveller like me. It is around 10 to 15mins work, depending on your pace. This hotel has a timeless village cottage vibe! Definitely worth a visit!

Extremely clean, with excellent service and a beautiful, unique environment. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Although the hotel is historic, it's incredibly well-maintained. I loved it.

Clean and simple, the uncle at the front desk was cheerful and accomodating. Helped us carry some of our luggages up and down the stairs. Always made sure to greet us when we see him. Room size is okay, travellers with big luggages (and maybe more than 1/pax) might find it squeezy but overall the size is good for us. Location wise, it's a 10-15 min walk from the station, however there are multiple restuarants nearby and other shops.
