Le Grand Kyu Karuizawa

This is a terrible hotel. The service was extremely poor. The skin lotion they provided was smelly and spoiled. There were many mosquitoes, and no mosquito coils were provided. A staff member barged into my room without my permission; I wasn't even dressed at the time.

This was a stop on my way back to Tokyo from Hakuba. I didn't choose the option that included breakfast. They have a large bathroom, but I didn't use it, so I can't comment on it. The receptionist was very pretty and friendly, and the lobby restaurant had a fireplace, creating a very nice atmosphere. The room was very spacious and elegantly decorated. However, there were two problems: there were no power outlets on either side of the bed, so I couldn't charge my phone on the bedside table. Another problem was the poor drainage in the shower area; the water couldn't drain properly, causing it to overflow the shower area. Even with the glass door closed, water still flowed onto the entire bathroom floor, making it slippery and posing a risk of falling.
