Karuizawa Prince Hotel West Reviews

The location is convenient, with a shuttle bus service between the hotel and Prince Outlet shopping mall and the train station. There's a bit of a distance between the East and West wings of the hotel; the East wing is closer to the children's play area. The jungle adventure is suitable for both kids and adults. The breakfast was quite average, possibly because there were too many guests. You need to call a day in advance to reserve the number of people and time for breakfast the next day. During our stay, we could only choose between 6:30 AM or 9:30 AM. The 'please clean my room' sign was very confusing; instead of simply stating 'yes' or 'no', it had a lengthy message that was open to misinterpretation.

A great hotel, perfect for families. Both the elderly and children had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the free hot springs every day, and the complimentary shuttle bus to the station/outlet every half an hour was super convenient.

This hotel is quite nice, very spacious, and the scenery is beautiful. It's right next to the outlet mall. The hot springs are also very comfortable. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Karuizawa to stay here for a night! They also have tennis courts and a golf course, which you can book if you're interested.

This hotel is super close to Karuizawa Station, just a 10-15 minute walk away. They also have a shuttle bus, so getting around is really convenient. While the room facilities are a bit older, they're well-maintained. For Japan, the room size is actually quite spacious. The hotel grounds are beautiful and quite extensive. The hotel's free shuttle bus from the South Exit of the station was super convenient. Getting to the Outlet West District was also a breeze, just a 2-minute walk. Plus, the hotel gave us an Enjoy Ticket, which we used for a cake and a Mapo Tofu set meal.

They charged a 150 JPY hot spring tax per person, which felt like a forced expense, regardless of whether you used the hot springs or not. There were a lot of tour groups, and some of the staff seemed a bit unenthusiastic. The value for money wasn't great.

The environment is beautiful, and the service is excellent. The front desk even upgraded my room for free! This is my third stay, and it's consistently great. It's just a few minutes' drive from Karuizawa Prince Outlet, and the hotel's hot spring is also fantastic.

It's the ideal base for short, chartered tours around Karuizawa.

The hotel is huge; it took me at least ten minutes to walk through countless rooms to get to mine. However, the views from the hotel are stunning, and it's super convenient as it's connected to the outlets. Plus, the hotel offers a shuttle service to Karuizawa Station and the outlets.

You can exchange room cleaning for a visit to the hot springs, which have been recently renovated and are quite pleasant. There's a shuttle service to both the outlet mall and the JR station. Just a heads up, if you're catching an early JR train, leave plenty of time as the shuttle takes a circuitous route, and you might miss a connection...

Good Hotel with Great Outlet Access, but a Major Letdown I have mixed feelings about this stay. On the positive side, the hygiene was perfect, the facilities were good, and the staff provided excellent service. The location is also very near the outlet shopping area. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined because the hot spring was completely shut down during our stay. There was absolutely no notification beforehand; we were only informed when checking in at night. Finding out so late was very frustrating and disappointing. It is a pity because the hotel has great potential, but the lack of transparency was unacceptable.

The air is fresh, and at 1000 meters above sea level, it's very pleasant. The view from the breakfast window is absolutely stunning, and the breakfast itself is delicious with a wide variety of choices.
