UrCove by Hyatt Hotel Ancient City of Kashgar Scenic Area

The views are absolutely unbeatable, even better than those from Building One of the resort. Parking is convenient, and it's right next to the ancient city and Kunlun Tower. Plus, there are tons of great food options nearby. This is always my top choice whenever I visit Kashgar.

I stayed here for one night on my drive back to Kashgar from Taxkorgan. I checked in around 9 PM and just made it for the complimentary late-night congee, which starts at 9:30 PM. You can also order some Cantonese dim sum and side dishes for an extra charge, and they were delicious. Before booking, I saw a ton of positive reviews, and honestly, it lived up to them, *except* for one huge issue: construction outside on the road in the middle of the night (around 3 AM) was incredibly loud! (See picture 1). After a long day of driving, I was exhausted, but the noise kept me awake until 3 AM. I was so angry I almost went down to the front desk to demand a room change, but I held back. For that reason alone, it has to be a bad review!

The hotel boasts a great environment with highly intelligent and user-friendly facilities. The staff are dedicated and responsible. Plus, its location near Kashgar Old City offers excellent transportation links.

The room size is decent, and the voice-activated smart service is very convenient. The laundry and drying service is a definite plus. For a Hyatt hotel, the breakfast is a bit on the simple side, but still acceptable.

This is an excellent hotel, very new and equipped with modern, smart facilities. The service is attentive, the rooms are spacious and well-lit, making for a very comfortable stay. Its central location is a huge plus, being only a 10-15 minute walk from Kashgar Old City. The hotel's breakfast is also rich and delicious. It boasts its own parking lot, and there's a gorgeous and tasty Uyghur restaurant downstairs. Most of the front desk staff and servers are young Uyghur men and women who are polite, neat, and well-trained. I was genuinely surprised to find such an international-standard five-diamond hotel in this border city. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and it was a delightful surprise. Highly recommended!

Service: The young man and woman who helped me the day before yesterday were absolutely fantastic, very attentive and super helpful! Hygiene: Even though Kashgar has been experiencing sandstorms recently, the room was very clean. Environment: It's very close to the ancient city. Facilities: The room has a Marshall speaker, which is very convenient.

The hotel was very generous with an upgrade to a spacious room, and the latex pillows were just the right height. The service was the biggest surprise; everyone at the front desk was lovely, and the doorman was also very kind, proactively opening the doors. The late-night congee saved my craving for authentic Henan flavors. The complimentary executive lounge was at Peet's Coffee, and the selection was extensive.

This hotel is located in the Ancient City Homestay Collection, near the North Gate of Kashgar's Old City, making it super convenient to explore both the Old City and the nearby downtown area! You can spot the Kunlun Tower right outside the hotel, and there are plenty of photo ops right at the entrance. The hotel facilities are brand new, and there's a smart assistant (Xiao Du) for in-room control! Kashgar is quite dry, so it was a thoughtful touch that the rooms came equipped with humidifiers. The mini-fridge also had complimentary drinks and snacks! They even gave us a small gift when we checked out! For guests looking to switch things up, the hotel's in-house Cantonese restaurant is a great option. Downstairs, there's a Peet's Coffee, and next door you'll find Luckin Coffee and Cha Ballet. Plus, Liberation North Road, with even more dining choices, is just a 10-minute walk away. I highly recommend staying at Yifei when you visit Kashgar!
