Sani Dunes

We travelled with a 5, 3 and 1 year old. From the moment the taxi pulled into Dunes Elena met us . She was full of enthusiasm and took the children’s hands and offered us a welcome drink( it was a great experience) Elena checked in daily to make sure we were OK and also gave us her number if we needed anything( nice touch) She made our stay very enjoyable and I would high recommend her. Dunes is a beautiful hotel, we usually stay at Porto However really enjoyed the laid back/ beach vibe ( having breakfast on the beach was a highlight) Nikos is the general manager at Dunes and was very welcoming and also offered his number if we needed anything Thank you Elena and Nikos for the great memories of staying at Sani dunes and we look forward to seeing you next year.

We have stayed at Sani Dunes for the passes 7 years. The staff and the rooms and food are exceptional. The GM Mr Nikos Ouzounis runs a team of excellent young staff trained to perfection to guarantee a holiday to remember. Mr Pickford. Lancashire uk

Another perfect week at Sani Dunes. Our eleventh year to Sani and 7th at Sani Dunes. The changes as always are subtle and incremental, but continue to improve on perfection, at the hotel and across the resort itself. The hotel still looks brand new and together with the Sani fragrance make it the most relaxing place on earth for us. From the first greeting as we arrived right through to the departure with the whole team and friends coming to say goodbye, the whole experience was, as always, perfect. Nikos in his role as General Manager has developed, refined and created a true oasis of luxury and calmness, and along with his team, ensure we are provided with the perfect environment to step off the world and away from normal life, the continued attention to detail, the small touches making all the difference. As has always been the case, it is that team, the members of the Sani family that are the real stars of the hotel, from Nikos himself through his management team, all of whom we have seen grow over our years visiting the resort, mostly from waiters and waitresses, now being the more senior members of Nikos’s management team – lovely to see that personnel development ensuring the Sani Magic continues with every generation. The Food & Beverage offering under Panagiota and George is at the forefront of the experience for us. The restaurants, Beach House, Fresco, Katsu and The Market remain firm favourites (we only ate at one other restaurant during our whole visit), the menus continuing to evolve and offer the most fantastic fresh food (the Ceviche at the Beach House, Black Cod at Katsu and Pappardelle with Duck Ragout and Truffle at Fresco being my three favourite dishes) – and seeing the overall Executive Chef, Giorgos, ever present gaining feedback and sharing his ideas shows why the food is so stunning; his passion evident. The wines continue to be world class (having a Sommelier as a General Manager helps that!) and the high quality of the Negronis is constant across the sites ;-) The bars maintain the innovative and high quality of the restaurants, from the pool and lobby bars to our favourite sunset and evening haunt, Sea You Bar (the best outlook for a Negroni before, during and after sunset) with chilled music from the DJ are just perfect. The pool staff are amazing, always around and pre-empting most orders before we even ask for them, likewise the Beach staff, both always providing the perfect sun-bed location, towels, water and refreshments. The closure of the neighbouring campsite has made the beach an even more pleasurable place to be, without the noise coming from what was that neighbouring beach front – it now means the beach-front walk to Sani Club is beautifully quiet and relaxing. Our room is always clean and superbly maintained. We get given the same suite every year and every year it looks and feels brand new, as if no-one else ever stays in ‘our’ room. Another lovely stay in Sani, first time in Dunes. Emanuela at Porto Spa was amazing. At Sani Dunes Melena and Christina at the pools bars and Melina in guests services looked after us extremely well. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back.

We really thought that this wonderful hotel couldn’t get any better.We were wrong!Under the new management of Nikos it has gone from 5 stars to 6 stars.All the staff have pulled together to make this surely the best family hotel in Greece.Elena is so attentive by the upper pool,Miltos in the Market restaurant greeting us so warmly for breakfast every day.The suave Dimitris in the poolbar,Klinsman a perfectionist on the beach,Alex the most watchful lifeguard.The ever helpful concierge,Panagiotis,nothing is too much trouble.In the Beach restaurant,Vasilis and Vaggelis are so efficient.The hotel is so clean,the gardens beautifully tended,the food throughout the resort is delicious.This is our ninth stay and I have already booked for next year.Sani is the best!!

Been to Porto Sani before and tried Sani Dunes for the first time this year, Market was always our favourite and still lovely. My husband said the pork was the best he has ever had, we’re here again for our last night too so I think I will have to try it

The Sani resort looks great. Sani Dunes is an amazing hotel, there are just a few issues that should be noted prior to travelling to Greece. Due to the location it is expensive to travel away from the resort, this in turn means they can hike their prices up to overcharge their customers. Even with a "Dine Around" discount meals can cost more than £200 very easily and the Sani Market isn't much better. There are signs up at the Swimming Pool saying Adults only, this is ignored by guests and staff despite the fact it was relatively quiet and could have easily been sorted. The staff are very attentive and couldn't do more for you, although perhaps waiting to finish your mouthful before they ask to clear your plate may be better.

Great food with expectional all round service by the Sani Dunes team. Restaurant serve excellent food and wine. Tte gym is fantastic right next to the SPA with a great steam room. Nikos and Elena at guest services have been brilliant. My tennis coach at the Nadal acedemy with the one to one session was the best. Rating 5/5

When couples go you need to be directed to adults pool area as it was full of toddlers and babies everywhere and in the restaurants in the evening . The best restaurant was Macaroni otherwise the food was very average at best and certainly not michelin star as they claim . The A La Cart menu was not worth the money. Our first time at Sani and very very disappointed
