Our recent stay at Mandara Rosen Yala was a genuinely pleasant experience. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness was evident, and the staff were consistently helpful, making our visit thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast each morning provided a good start to the day, while the dinner buffet was particularly impressive, offering a fabulous spread that was a highlight of our evenings. The hotel's serene atmosphere allowed us to relax and recharge, which was much appreciated after exploring the local area. We felt welcomed and valued as guests throughout our stay, thanks to the attentive service. If our travels bring us back to Kataragama, Mandara Rosen Yala will certainly be our hotel of choice once more. It's an establishment that promises comfort and excellent dining experiences.

The hotel was very nice, especially the pool was very nice and the food was really tasty. Only criticism points were there were no hot water when showering and only a little water from the shower, the view from the balcony was also a bit medrified but otherwise really nice hotel.

Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast offering a wide variety of foods. Swimming pool. Clean rooms.

Always been my favourite Hotel in Kataragama and had great experience this year as well.Every year we stay at Mandara Rosen from Melbourne and Amila and the Staff looked after us very well. Since we are regulars we did not have to pay till arrival.Amila handled the Reservation efficiently with a discount.It is like a second home to us and the Buffet Dinner and the Breakfast were very good with choices. They were absolutely delicious and a big improvement from last year.Even the internet was working much better than last year.The serving Staff at the Restaurant were very polite, attentive and courteous. I forget the name of the lovely young Waitress who looked after us as it was the first time I met her.She provided us with exceptional service. We will be back again next year and I will highly recommend this Hotel to other Travellers.

Loved this hotel. Huge well-appointed rooms, great pool area (with underwater music!) Great breakfast (best omelettes in Sri Lanka). and wide selection for evening meal. Hotel arranged extra dawn safari for us. Would definitely stay again.

I can only describe the hotel as average. My room wasn't cleaned properly and there were surface stains and marks. The bathroom smelt of stale urine, and the wash basin overflow was filthy. Waiting staff in the restaurant did their best but the pool attendant was very helpful. The hotel could be excellent if it was cleaned properly.
