The hotel environment is clean, and there's an in-house restaurant downstairs where you can order food. They also offer free breakfast. The food tastes great and really suited my Chinese palate; I never got an upset stomach, so it's a safe choice. The owner and staff all speak Chinese and you can also exchange cash, which made for a great service experience. The location is excellent, just a ten-minute walk to Thamel, and it's very quiet at night, ensuring a good sleep.

Chinese visitors to Kathmandu should definitely stay here. The owner is handsome and speaks excellent Chinese. He's always enthusiastic and helpful if you have any issues. The Sichuan food is authentic, and it's only a ten-minute walk to Thamel. This is my second time staying here, highly recommended!

I stayed here in Kathmandu after arriving for my ABC trek, and it's a really great place. The security and front desk staff are very welcoming! What's most important for someone like me, who isn't great at English, is that the front desk ladies and the owner all speak Chinese, which is super convenient. They can also help you call a taxi or answer the phone when you're heading out. The room was very clean! If I ever come back to Nepal, I'll definitely choose this hotel again. The owner can even help book flights, and they're very affordable.

The room was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful with authentic Chinese dishes. The owner was incredibly helpful and a real China expert; his excellent Chinese made communication a breeze. He even assisted us with booking flights and planning our local itinerary, including hiking routes. Highly recommend!

I've been to Nepal many times before, and I used to stay in Thamel, but I could never sleep because it was so noisy. I finally found this hotel, Lakhey Hotel, and I'm extremely satisfied! It's very quiet, and only a 7-minute walk from Thamel. The staff are all very friendly and speak Chinese, and the boss's Chinese is truly impressive! He even helped me plan my travel itinerary, and I was very happy with it – I booked a 3-day, 2-night Chitwan package through them. Their breakfast is excellent, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the hot water is great. It's also convenient to get around. If you need travel advice, you can contact the boss. Remember, their Chinese food is fantastic – definitely try the Spicy Chicken! I recommend everyone stays here; I'll definitely be back!

This is my fourth time in Nepal, and I always stay at this hotel. Its main advantage is its proximity to Thamel, just a 10-minute walk away. The price is also quite good. The staff and even the owner speak Chinese, and they even offer tour services. You can also opt for Chinese food. However, I usually go for the buff noodles there now – excellent value for money! The hotel has universal power outlets, so no adapter is needed. This time, there were frequent power outages, and I'm not sure why. (The lighting seemed to be on a separate circuit, but the air conditioning and wall sockets would lose power.)

As a Chinese traveler who has stayed at several hotels in Kathmandu, I absolutely have to write a detailed review and heartily recommend this gem of a hotel to all my compatriots visiting Nepal! First and foremost, what truly impressed me was the impeccable cleanliness – a rarity in this region. I've stayed in many local hotels where yellowed, musty towels were the norm, but this place was entirely different. All the linens were sparkling white and felt crisp and fresh, matching the hygiene standards of high-end hotels back home. It made me feel completely at ease. Not just the rooms, even the public restrooms in the lobby were spotless and odor-free. The attention to detail surpassed many star-rated hotels, which, as a Chinese person, instantly made me feel a sense of familiarity and reassurance. The hotel owner is incredibly kind. Not only is he handsome, but he speaks Chinese even better and more fluently than many of my Chinese friends, making communication completely seamless and smooth. He’s more like a thoughtful elder figure; whether it's planning itineraries, exchanging currency, booking taxis, or asking about local food and entertainment, he patiently answers every question and tries his best to help with any request. Throughout my stay, I felt incredibly well-cared for, completely dispelling any sense of unfamiliarity in a foreign land. The biggest surprise was the authentic Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, specializing in Sichuan cuisine – the flavors were stunningly genuine! As a Chinese person who loves spicy food, it was an absolute delight to find such authentic Sichuan dishes in Kathmandu. The numbing, spicy, fresh, and aromatic notes were perfectly balanced; every bite tasted like home. It was on par with proper Sichuan restaurants in China, and I happily ate there multiple times without getting tired of it. It truly cured my Chinese craving. Overall, from hygiene and service to dining, everything far exceeded my expectations. To find such a clean, caring, and 'taste of home' hotel in Kathmandu was truly fortunate. I strongly recommend it to all Chinese travelers visiting Nepal; it will undoubtedly be the warmest haven during your journey. The next time I come to Kathmandu, this will still be my top choice!
